Sanctions are "a coercive measure adopted usually by several nations acting together against a nation violating international law." (dictionary.com). And no, I don't think World War III is going to happen. With as much heat as they're catching an as many nations that are eyeing them, they know that if they fire even one nuke, their *** is toast. We we unload on them, with or without nukes, Japan will unload, as will China, and Russia (possibly). So, they know that if they make a move, they're doomed. Their just rattling their sabres, trying to scare people and bully people. It's something they've done for years.
However, Kim Jong Il has gotten kinda out of control, at this point I'm not sure if he would listen to China. If he doesn't it's gonna be him vs. U.S. and China... it would suck to be him.

Even with a small army, there is still the chance of the bigger group getting their asses whooped :p Specially if the leader of the smaller group is a nutjob <.<. I was watching Oprah (I watch it once in a while) and they sent that asian chick to north korea as an assistant for a doctor, or something like that. She wasn't allowed to take her cell phone because they believed the u.s. could listen in on converstations. XD. It's believeable to an extent with the invasion of privacy Bush has been doing, but I dunno how I feel about that. The north koreans really seemed proud of their leader, or maybe it was the fear of being shot on the spot. Who knows...
