"We will be risking Liara's safety anyway", Alziel said. "Broadsword may suspect something, and he will certainly not be gentle, if you get my meaning. Liara, I am not stopping you from helping, but surely there could be a safer way for you to help".

Liara frowned. "Just because I am no big strong man, that does not mean I should be always kept safely out of danger". Alziel shook his head and pulled her back.

"I'll tell you what", he began softly, "You can try. But I will be watching with my bow ready. If anything happens, call out. Use your daggers if you have to. Anyone who tries anything, even Broadsword, will be wise to leave you alone, unless he wishes as arrow to be slotted into him".

He turned to Monty.

"I do not know why you want those maps. They are fragmented, like you said, and I am willing to bet they are either incorrect or severely outdated. Still, I will help you. But then you have to help me".

Monty nodded. He knew perfectly well what Alziel meant.

"Now then", Alziel said, taking his bow in hand, as Liara stretched out her wings into the sunlight, "To business".

Monty sheathed a few crossbow bolts into the clasp of his wrist bracer for easy acess, and  loosened the sheath of the crossbow itself, to ready his projectiles. In his left hand, he held now three throwing knives, with wich Monty was capable of near surgical precision from within 30 yeards.

"I will aid with all that I have in me friend....for this man surely intends my death anyhow."

"Wait" cautioned Liara, "we can't do this yet. The chances are Broadsword has the documents on him anyway. We'll have to wait until the boats set sail at least, and I can try and snatch them under cover of night. I don't fancy walking up now and asking for them."

Saine had slid in behind the others quietly, and listened patiently to their plans forming.

"How do you propose to keep the look-outs from spotting Liara flying to the other ship?"  Saine asked quietly.

The others turned, slightly surprised, but seemed relieved when they saw it was him.  No one seemed to have an answer.

"Anyways, now is neither the time nor the place to be discussing these things.  Later, perhaps after dark, when we will have more room to breath."  Saine paused for a moment to view the others' expressions.  "We must say no more until we have a more private setting.  For now, we are simply a few contestants trying to form an alliance, not conspirators."

Alziel nodded.
"Makes sense," Montclair said quietly.
"Later, then," Saine said.  "In the meantime, let's discuss the West.  What do you know?"

(Sorry, when I wrote my post Plight had not posted yet)
"Wait, I have to tell you a thing or two before you get inside" A voice called.
Hearing a familiar voice, Saine, Liara and Alziel turned back, thinking that an enemy had heard them.
But, luckily for them, it was only Ragnar, who had been listening silently for a while, as he always did. He had remained unnoticed because he had changed some of his clothes (He had saved the long coat, and was wearing sailor clothes) and changed his hat for a red handkerchief around his head. he looked like an old sailor, and somehow he seemed to have the experience of one. He had decided to change some clothes in the Castle, because he wanted to remain as hidden as possible, while one of his men gave him the precious report.
"Wait, mates. Wait" Ragnar said, as he saw Monty pull out his throwing knives. Seeing who it was, the three adventurers felt calmed. ragnar kept speaking, in such a low voice that only them could hear:
"You probably are thinking "For haw long has this man been hearing us?" Well, I´ll answer: Enough. I heard the whole plan and I agree completely, but, as Liara says, this is not yet the time.
The map is the less important document, since broadsword's map matches a map I have, and that I will share with all of the contestants. But we still need the other documents, because they have critical information about the West. Now, I have some "friends" working in town. they tried to get those papers for me last night, but they had already been taken by that.... scumbag who has the gut of calling himself a Knight. I just found out, since one of my friends brought a report to me."
"Is that the reason for the disguise?" Saine asked.
Seeing that he was getting his audience tired, Ragnar decided to get it over with quick:
"Yes it was. My friend wanted privacy, you know!!!
but I'll get to the point: I like your plan (And had thought something pretty much like it).
I will help you, and here are my sugestions:
- First, wait the most you can before the attack. If possible, I would wait 'till we were close to the Western lands.
- Second, We have to assume that some of our enemies might survive. So we must make it look like an accident.
- Third, Alziel, your bow will have to do its work. If Broadsword survives, he'll have our heads for sure."
Alziel looked at him, while he thought about Ragnar's proposal. While looking at his face, Ragnar knew that Alziel was enjoying the idea of shooting Broadsword through the neck.
Saine smiled but said nothing, while Liara and Monty looked surprised.
"Oh, and about the soldier's ship, I have a way to send it to the bottom of the ocean. Don't worry, it has already been taken care of. Just ask me later, and I'll tell you".
After telling them that, Ragnar moved into the ship, followed by some of the workers (Which seemed kind out of their element by the way) who were carrying some food cages into the boat.
Ragnar saw anyan on the deck and greeted him: "Hey, brat!!!!
are you enjoying the smell of the sea, and feeling the waves as they move our ship?"
Anyan looked at him with a mix of anger and sickness, and answered....

"Shut up old man..." said Anyan, almost dropping his breakfast from his mouth. He truly hated the sea because of his sickness.

Ragnar stared to his friend and told him: "I'm taking care of things here, join the others, I asume that ye'll be wanting to hear their plans!!!"

Anyan watched Ragnar, looking a bit pale, and answered: "I know what they plan..." said, whispering, so that no one could hear him: "... but you know what do I think about my master. He is too strong and is well guarded..."

Ragnar sighed and said: "Do what you want, but ye won't be workin' alone brat!! Go check the team!"

Anyan looked at his friend, who was leaving, followed by a bunch of dirty looking sailor. "More members of the Guild... you never change old man" thought Anyan.

Anyan went to where Alziel, Monty, Saine and Liara had met, and could listen to a little conversation they where having about the plan.

Anyan saw Alziel and said: "Sorry to interrupt again, friends. I didn't mean to be harsh before, I bet your skills match this adventure Alziel. What I meant to say was..." Anyan lowered his voice, so that only the ones gathering there could listen: "... Broadswords technique goes beyond a big sword and a muscle head, he is a bloody genius on the battlefield, and you need to be properly prepared to beat him. I could hold him a little bit, I'm lucky for having this by my side" Anyan pointed his sword, the Leddwick's Viper: "...in case you haven't noticed, it's poisonus, and it's poison has no known cure at the Kingdom... many people would want this, even the King..."

Anyan walked a bit and said to Alziel, Saine, Liara and Monty: "Broadswrod knows this, since he was my master at swordfighting, so he'll watch out a bit form me... one scratch form this edge and he is dead. But truly..." Anyan's look became dark and hopeless: "... I stadn little chances of even touching a finger of his. But if I hold him a bit... you might have a shot..." now he had stared at Alziel again.

Anyan watched towards the ship and whispered: "I hate the sea... my stomach is weak at the constant waving... I get seasick... I'll be in my room, trying to sleep a bit..."

Anyan got into the ship feeling dizzy, but a bit entusiastic. He had a good group of supporters, and taking Broadsword down could help him to get closer to the King easier when he went back from the West...

To at last avenge his father...

Alziel had heard enough. There were enough people to ensure the plan could be carried out well enough, and he certainly did not doubt that it could be done. He decided to make his point short.

"Broadsword is only one man. And even if he is as truly strong as you say he is, any man can be overwhelmed, and any man can be killed. Still, we should be cautious".

He looked around, and noticed Liara.

"Liara", he began softly, "I do not wish to alarm you, but Broadsword is hardly likely to be kind if he catches you stealing his papers, and I very much believe that he will treat you the same way as he treats any other foe he comes up against".

He left the point unmade. Liara knew what he meant.

"And finally", Alziel finished, "I have my own plan, at least a very simple one". He nodded to his arrow quiver, where a handful of arrows with different coloured flight-feathers protruded. "I cannot explain it, but you will see tonight".

He finished and walked to the side of the ship to look over the sea. He had never been good with sea journeys; sea-sickness ran in the family. And he certainly hoped a touch of nausea would not trouble his aim.

Shell wandered onto the ship and looked around.
"You were almost late" a worker warned. "We set sail soon."
"Almost" replied Shell. He strolled onto the deck and made his way to the figurehead, where he sat and enjoyed the sunshine.

"It's done, Master" A sailor whispered.
"Don't call me master here, you idiot! someone might hear us!" Ragnar answered "Now go, and dissapear as quickly as possible, someone's coming."
The sailor, who had very keen senses, had realized that a person was aproaching, just as his Master. Quickly turned and left, almost as if he was invisible.
Ragnar stayed to see who it was: It was one of the contestants. He was a dirty - looking man, dressed in ragged clothes, who had a psicotic glance in his only eye (The other one was replaced by a horrible scar). Ragnar had heard his name at the castle: Jhonas the Black. He was a renown killer, from the style that Ragnar disliked: Crazy and violent, hard to control. Sure, Ragnar had killers in his guild (And never hesitated on using them) but they were "good" kids, always ready to hear their Master. But killers like this Jhonnas.... They were only treatable when they were so drunk they couldn't move
"Hey, ol' man!!! Lemme through!!!!" Jhonas yelled.
Ragnar stared at him and moved aside so that he could pass.
"Drunk already?" Ragnar thought "I'll probably have to talk to Alziel and the guys about this fellow, if we survive the fight against Broadsword. That reminds me... I have to tell Anyan about my "gift". Better look for him now..."
Ragnar went to deck and saw Alziel looking at the waves, thinking.
"Hey, Alziel!! How are the waves treating you?" Ragnar said, while closing to Alziel...

Anyan sat on his bed, inside the crew room. He thought he was going to pass out form the nausea, but still he stood awake, thinking, thinking about a lot of things.

He drew out the Viper, his beloved sword and started to remember...

To remember the day his father told him the true story about the sword. An enormous viper, gigantic, was attacking his family´s Castle hundreds of years ago. A Leddwick Lord took this sword and stabbed the monster's eye after climbing over it's head. The sword, barnished on the poisonus blood of the huge viper could never be cleaned. That is why it never rusted and it still remains as poisonus as a viper's poison; the blood could never be cleaned.

Anyan then, remembered how the sword was passed to him by his father Angol, the day Anyan became a Knight of Inas. A few weeks after that event, his father was sent to the West along with one hundred man. No one returned from that mission; only a man who seemed to be psychotic.

After that, Anyan stopped thinking about that for a minute.

"I better take a walk..." he thought instead, he was feeling very sick and he felt that he had to move.

He went to the deck and walked a little bit. He noticed Broadsword on the dock, still screaming at some sailors. And he saw Liara, as beautiful as ever. There was Shell, just entering the ship. Bowen was sitting next to the ship's Main Stick. He could not see Saine anywhere, and he noticed his old friend Ragnar going to talk to Alziel.

"I bet the old man is looking for me..." he thought, but he decided to stay in his place, staring at the waves.

OOC: Sorry for the delay guys, I was real busy with some stuff.

BIC:

Alziel turned as Ragnar approached.

"I am fine for the moment", he replied in an attempt to be jovial, "But we shall have to see later". He smiled, and Ragnar returned the smile. There was an awkward moment, before Alziel noticed the crossbow beneath Ragnar's coat.

"Say", he pointed out, gesturing to the weapon, "Can you use that?"

Ragnar nodded, evidently confident of his skill. Alziel could empathise here, there was common ground between them. After a moment's quiet thought, he made his bargain.

"I could do with your help later on", Alziel said. "It's afternoon already". He looked around, making sure nobody was watching or listening in. "Come up to the deck two hours after dark. I shall explain then".

Alziel turned and walked to the other people who were in on his plan; Monty, Liara, Anyan, Saine. He told each of them to meet him on the deck at the same time, and once he had passed on the information he retired to a seat by the edge of the ship.

The plan had been made, he thought to himself, and two hours after dark, it would be the time to put that plan into action.

OOC: That's okay, let's keep this rockin' an' rollin'!!

BIC:

Night had fallen again, and the ship was about to set sail. Alziel had told the contestants to meet him at the deck during the night.

Anyan sure was nervous. His seasickness had gone worse and he barely could stand up. He feared that he would have to fight Broadsword on that shape...

The deck... it was so dark that Anyan could barely see. The sound of the waves filled the night, which was as silent as grave.

"No one arrived yet..." thought Anyan, as he sat on the floor.

He stared at the moon above, which shined beautiful on the dark sky, which still looked beautiful, covered with stars.

Anyan's thoughts drifted towards his beloved memories of Dehllia. He remembered the night in which he propossed marriage to her in secret.

After a short while, Anyan decided to be more careful. Hard times would come and he had to focus on the mission.

Anyan jumped as a hand touched his shoulder and his hand went to is sword- luckily he stopped himself in time. It was a slightly startled looking Liara.
"Sorry" he said. "It's better not to surprise me in the middle of the night."
"That's okay" assured Liara. "Are you okay? You look a little off colour."

Ragnar waked up after taking a short nap in his room.
"I'm late!!! Damn nap, I always sleep when I should wake up"
He quickly left the crew's room and went to the deck, to meet the  other conspirators.
"Well, I'm the first it seems, these days." Ragnar said.
"No you're not, old man..." A voice answered.
Ragnar looked down, only to see Anyan sitting on the floor. Though Anyan still looked sick, he somehow seemed to be feeling a little better.
"Ah, It's you kid!!" Ragnar said. After saying that, Ragnar lowered his voice tone and continued whispering, so low that only Anyan could hear him:
"I have some "red dragons" smuggled in here. They are bombs capable of blowing up an entire castle. I think we are going to see fireworks pretty soon. I can't wait to see Alziel's face when I explain!!"
