Anyan dodged Broadsword's attack. He knew that the massive knight would be careful of the Viper's bite, since it's poison could kill him.

Anyan jumped outside the room, while the battle had already started and there was a lot of confusion. The other contestants had boarded the ship and had started to fight against the guards. Broadsword followed, letting his massive sword fall hard into the floor.

The steels kept hitting each other, as they oculdn't hurt each other. But Anyan was overwhelmed by Broasword. Althought his time outside the kingdom had turned him into a strong man, Anyan couldn't match his master.

After a few minutes, Broadsword had turned the tides towards him. After stopping Anyan's attack, Broadsword punched the young man in his stomach, throwing him away by many steps.

Anyan got up, only to dodge a slash of Broadsword's edge. Still he was slightly cutted on the left arm.

"Gah...! You haven't changed Master..." said Anyan, surprisingly calm: "But I've learned new tricks while I was out..."

A light came from Anyan's hand, as a smallish fireball formed. Anyan's knowledge on magic was minimal, but enough to turn his sword on fire and turn it into an even more dangerous weapon.

Anyan charged again with the Viper on flames against his old master.

Monty Was throwing and accepting Daggers at a fast but calculated rate.

The ship was now nearly vacant, as the mass of his companions were taking part in the seige...

"With Alzeil gone, it would seem as I have to lead the defensive on our own ship....."

Liara gave an accepting, and encourging nod, and  with a swift excecution of maeuvers, the crossbow was hilted, and Monty had produced his shortblade, and filled his knuckles of his free hand with 3 throwing daggers.

"I swear, If i Find out who summoned these flames in such haste, Ill throttle them senseless...after we make it out alive"

Monty Shouted at Alzeil who was still in earshot

"Wed bes salvage some valuables from that ship. It houses out provisions..."

(Plight... Liara's on the ship with Alziel XD)

Liara was glad to have Alziel by her side- the blazing ship was an unsettling place. The cries of warriors was equal in volume to the screams of the slain- a terrible situation for a sprite to be in. However, Liara had known what she was getting into by volunteering. She was determined to be of use.

Guards were pouring out of the exits now, Monty taking down some, his mark a sudden death that had no apparent cause- a flash of metal, then a bleeding at the neck that started spontaneously and saved Liara and Alziel several times. Alziel was also an efficient killer, and it seemed that his desire to get the job done was overpowering his courtesy to Liara.

The two made their way across the vessel and neared the place where Anyan had entered the ship. At that moment several guards ran up to them and reared their weapons- too many to take down. These men were cowards, afraid it seemed to attack even with their numerical advantage, but they advanced slowly and menacingly. Alziel swore and moved in front of Liara as one of Monty's knifes cut a swathe through the men. "Is there anything you can do?" Alziel asked the sprite, backing her away from the enemy.
"Maybe" she answered. "Close your eyes!"
The last thing he wanted to do was close his eyes; But he had to trust her. He did so and felt a rush of warmth at his back- and his eyelids could not mask the brilliant yellow glow. He opened them slowly and it was if the night sky had lit up- a blinding flash had rivalled the stars and the men were stabbing wildly or groping for the side rail, one arm across their temporarily useless eyes.

OOC: ugh...

Draggys last post confused me.
Sorry. Ill edit

EDIT: done.

Monty adverted his eyes from the blinding glare from the other ship...

Waves leapt up, in the increasingly turbulent water, quelling much of the other ships blaze, but undoutedly, at this point she would still sink.

"If Braod sword were crippled...and taken Captive..."
An Instant plan arose in Montys mind....
But it would mean distracting anyan from a killing Blow.
And leaving the ship for a spell....

*Sorry, fellas. haven't been able to enter in some time*

Ragnar sighed... "Damn!! I'm an old fool!! I should've waited more!! Those damned things were supposed to take more time before they blow up!!! that's what I get from buying second - hand stuff!!!"
Ragnar had went up to the deck... "They'll probably blame it on me tomorrow... But what the hell!!! Those soldiers and the other nobles would have become a problem in the West... Better to finish them now" Ragnar thought. From his place, he could see everything on the enemy ship, so he started using his crossbow.
"Ok, ok. Who will it be?"
Ragnar watched the enemy ship, looking for a target.
Soon, he found one. It was one of the nobles (Not Broadsword) who was trying to organize the soldiers to combat the fire (As well as the contestants) "No, my friend, I don't think so" Ragnar whispered. the knight had his armor, but no helmet. the attack had probably started when he had just started taking his clothes of to go to sleep.
Ragnar aimed, waited for a while, and shot. The bolt left the crossbow without a noise, and it flew on the dark night.
The shot was acurrate, as the bolt hit the knight on the face, over the right eye. The knight didn't even scream (Which proved to everyone he was dead), and fell to the ground.
"The confussion is fine, but I don't understand why those damned things blew up so early, they were supposed to take two hours!!!" Ragnar cursed, and thought "Well, the fire seems to be going as planned. the ship will sink, but at this rate it will hold out until dawn." While thinking that, he reloaded and shot again: Another guard, (An officer) fell to the ground, screaming and grabbing his stomach.
"Damn!! Now, we won't be able to gather supplies, as I wanted!!! That was the damned reason I asked for slow - burning bombs!!!"
"Were could the brat be?!?!" Ragnar thought....

Anyan was nervous. Although he had used the only magic he knew (in order to place the Viper on flames to gain an extra attack), the fight against Broadsword was far from being won.

Anyan fell to the floor over and over again. His wounded arm didn't allow him to move as swiftly as before. Broadswoard was undamaged.

A guard approached Anyan form the behind, but he was taken out by a bolt. Anyan saw Ragnar from afar, as his friend was shooting towards other guards.

Anyan stood and attacked his master. After throwing a few slashed (which were easily rejected), he managed to punch him in the stomach. He hoped that Broadsword was hurt.

Broadsword reeled from the unexpected punch, leaving him vulnerable for only a moment. Anyan took this chance, and with a single movement, lodged his Viper into his former master's shoulder.
"...shoulder?" Brodsword mumbled. "Why not just finish me off...?" Already, the blood was draining from his face. "I see. Well... you win, Anyan. Congratulations." Broadsword fumbled with the satchel on his waist, and eventually pulled out a cross-shaped pendant. He gripped it tightly, as his remaining life was snuffed out by the toxin, and he collapsed to the ground in a lifeless heap.

The blinding light sent by Liara came right at the time Broadsword was falling on the floor. The blood was puring from the man's shoulder, fastly. Anyan watched his former master die...

"Master... our loyalties may have been different, but you were and will remain the strongest of all..." he thought. He stood, a bit weakened form his wound. The cofusion created by Liara's light had made everyone go dizzy. Anyan was even dizzier, because of his wound and his sickness.

"Could Liara get the documents...?" thought anyan, as he killed a guard approaching him.

He hurried towards Broadsword's room, trying to find Liara or Alziel, and retrieve the documents.

The sun was about to rise, and the ship wouldn't last longer...

Alziel leant against the wall by the doorframe. Steadily he drew a single arrow and notched it to his bowstring, and once he was composed he turned and stepped into the room, bow raised.

Seeing the swordsman standing tall over the fallen man, he took aim. He could shoot before the surviving swordsman could get near him. Especially since he was injured. There was a spot at the neck which was vulnerable, and it was this that he aimed for...

"Alziel", the swordsman said, "Stop".

Alziel stopped. Things came into focus.

The fallen warrior on the ground was not Anyan, as Alziel expected it would be; instead, it was Broadsword.

Alziel's heart sank. He had been too slow, and he had missed his chance. He took the arrow from his bowstring and threw it to the ground, and slumped on his haunches against the wall and swore. After a moment, Liara sat down beside him.

"Damn", he spat, "Looks like I didn't get to take my shot after all".

He expected Liara to be angry at him; he had virtually abandoned her out there, preferring to go ahead and find Broadsword for his own means. He had meant to protect her, but his purpose had been forgotten and bloodlust had got in the way. Her magic had been all that had saved her.

But instead, she placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Never mind", she said softly, "At least we tried. You were only too late because you were trying to help me".

She had a point, he decided. He looked up and saw Anyan standing there. The two of them stared at each other for a moment.

"Thank you", Alziel said finally, "At least the contest can go ahead now".

Alziel thought about what he had just said, and as he understood, his heart sank again. Now that the contest went ahead, there could only be one winner. Which meant that out of the thirty people here, at the end there would probably only be one survivor.

Finally he stood up and looked around the room. "Liara, we should try to find those documents", he said quietly, "And quickly. This ship will probably not hold together much longer".

He caught Anyan's eye again. The man with the poison blade. And at some point, Alziel may well have to eliminate him from the competition. Unless, of course, he was eliminated first.

Shell sat on his bed listening to the muffled sounds of battle going on above. He was in a split decision as to whether to go and join in, but eventually decided that there was no point. Events would take care of themselves. He went back to sleep.

***

Liara stood and went to the fallen warrior. He was still, his body appearing powerful even now; the heavy armour he had bourne had done him no good it seemed.
Knowing of the cruelty of Sir Broadsword didn't stop Liara from feeling a sense of immense regret at his defeat. She felt that though his body was unconsious he was still fighting for the tiny remainder of his life as the poison finished it's deadly work. No way for a warrior to go.

It took all of her strength to refrain from attempting to heal the man- the poison was apparently untreatable but she didn't know how many Sprites had tried. But despite these desperate feelings she felt an immense relief- that Alziel had not struck the killing blow. Revenge can do terrible things to a man, she thought, glancing at Anyan.

"There's no time for this" Anyan urged hurriedly. "You have to help me find these documents!"

the dawn was about to come, and there was no sign of the others.
Ragnar had been watching the ship for a while, without being able to see anything.
Finally, he was able to see Anyan and the others, as well as the final moments of the duel against Broadsword.
In that moment, Ragnar knew that the soldiers on the ship represented no further danger.
"Ok, let's go to get our comrades!!! The enemy can no longer hurt us!!!" One of the contestants yelled.
Hearing that, Ragnar yelled back "Make sure that we are with the wind when we get close, or we could set our ship on fire as well!!!!"
"Aye aye!!" He answered.
Ragnar didn't know a thing about navigating a ship. Luckily, some of the contestants had experience in the area (Probably because of previous acts of piracy, Ragnar thought).
"how can i help?" Ragnar asked.
Seeing that his help was not needed nor wanted, ragnar reloaded his crossbow and sat in a spot, waiting for things tp unfold.
"Let's hope they get out in time...... Stupid slow - action bombs!!!!" Ragnar thought.
Well, at least Broadsword was gone. that was one less problem.

A few soldiers ran into Broadsword's quarters, spears at the ready.
"You are hereby under arrest for High Treason! Come quietly, or we will be forced to use lethal force!" one of the soldiers said. He shoved his spear forward, nearly at Alziel's neck.
"Uh... he's dead." one of the soldiers commented. "It's pretty much everyone for themselves."
"Silence!" the lead soldier yelled. "We are still under the orders of the King, and we will e-" The soldier's spiel was cut off by a spearhead forcing itself through his chest; the younger soldier had apparently committed this act. The last soldier, horrified, ran out.
"Didn't agree with this mission anyways." the young soldier commented. "You guys should take what you can and get outta here - probably won't be long until we're in what's-his-face's locker." The soldier, still calm, stepped out onto the deck, where he was immediately sniped by one of Monty's magic knives.

Anyan stared at Liara. Her look of pity taht the sprite had given to him made him feel small.

"I... have my reasons to do what I'm doing..." he said, with a sad thone in his voice. "I don't know why am I explaining myself to you... there's no time for this... I'm sorry, I'll speak later on."

He turned around and started to search desperetly inside the quarters.
"I'm looking for some papers... where did he put them...?!" Anyan thought.

Liara knelt beside Sir Broadsword again. She wasn't just thinking, she was looking- a near invincible man, there would be nowhere safer for the papers than on his person.
"You think they're in his armour or something?"
A lick of flame showed itself through a crack in the wooden floor- the area below was ablaze and the ship was beginning to sink.

Anyan's eyes opened wide. How could he be so stupid?

He took Broadsword's armor off the dead body of his master (not before saying a short prayer) and began to search franticly.

"Here are some papers!" He said: "They are... the documents allright. Liara, you are faster than me... Take them. Let us scape!"

As he gave the documents to the sprite, Anyan started to run towards the deck. His left shoulder was hurting like the flames of Hell itself. He stared to both Alziel and Liara, who were running with him. "Hurry up! It won't take longer, this fire won't stop, not even for water!" he screamed, as he threw himself into the raging water.

His armor was light, luckily, that's why he could swim back.

The battle was over, as the remaining contestants started to swim back to the smallish ship.
