So Ive got 3.5 days of busride ahead of me...and a playstation emu on my laptop.

I was gonna pick up a game for the long trip...
because theres a second hand games shop at the end of my block.

Any recomendations that arent a final fantasy title?

Legend of Dragoon (RPG)
Klonoa
Oddworld Abe's Oddessey
Oddworld Abe's Exodus
Rayman

The last four are all platformers, probably my favorite platformers of all time.

I highly discourage Abe's Oddessey and Exodus - I had them both and hated them. Why my brother liked them is beyond me.

Klonoa is ultimate, though.

I like it just because of the whole stealth/puzzle aspect. MGS and stuff is like that, but you always have the option of fighting if need be. Abe could barely fart.

Oddworld pwnd.
I suggest Monster Seed, which is a bit like a pokemon like RPG, only way better.

Tales of Destiny and Tales of Eternia/Destiny II. The battles aren't turn-based - they're completely active, with you moving a character across a linear battlefield and attacking (your allies are AI-controlled). Especially in the latter, there's a ton of depth to pretty much everything (for PSX, that is).

Oh, and Jade Coccoon. It's like pokemon, except your monsters are more monsterish, it's not near as kiddy, and you can combine your monsters together to form em. Its like Pokemon + Monster Rancher (Which is also a good PSX game).

Do you have some kind of controller? Because Ape Escape was a ton of fun. Other than that, I could say Breath of Fire 3 and 4, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Worms Armageddon (actually, that's better for multi, but I got addicted to the single player anyway), Spiderman, Megaman (fill in with number/letter/combination of the two)... And... I thnk that's about all that I'd recommend. Oh, and ZKX is right, Klonoa.
