And Atheism is beleiving there is no god. If you believe in a devil, you have to believe there is a god.

Edit: An as in the post you quoted me on, I was speaking of a freind of mine that's WAY too emo. He acts like he's manic depressive but he isn't. And with living with a bipolar and a manic depressive, i don't think i would say too much that would insult them.

I'm fairly sure Satanism is more concerned with indulgence than worshiping Satan himself. At least that's what the Church of Satan is all about. They believe that taking in life's pleasures is perfectly fine. One of their rules actually says to treat your fellow man fairly, but if he crosses you and refuses to apologize, beat his *** for being a dick.

I could be wrong, but that's what I remember.

If I remember, that is if you invite him into your house, you can beat him for whatever reason you want, even kill him. Ater all, he is in your home.

Do you consider video games as art (or comparable to film and literature)? I had to do a report on this once.

Aside from it being "for kids," the biggest argument against this was that you had to attach a game for it to become a video game. Art and stuff like that isn't supposed to have rules. This rule prevents it from becoming art. This is not my personal opinion. Without the game, it just becomes a long interactive movie.

To me, games are comparable. Play any RPG with a decent storyline, or a survival horror game. There is a lot of stuff out there that can put movies to shame. I think it's an opinion thing. I think this idea about games comes from Archem's post too. What do you think?

Sure videogames are art. Anything that has to be 'designed' is art in some form.

But if you're talking about 'the arts'... well I guess they still are. It's a very interactive form of expressing emotions and messages. Of course, games are only just starting to show this.

Like you said, most good RPGs play out like movies, just with alittle interaction. Alot of people don't make games out of RPGs though, because some people still consider them 'nerdy'. Surivival horrors have had a jump though, (Resident Evil).

I completely agree with you there. I suppose it never worked out though, because people when they think Final Fantasy expected a movie like FF7 or FF8 or something to that effect.
