Rev is right. The kid starts to be a bitch, smack him. My parents would smack me, and I'll be damned if I wanted that **** again. There's a difference between child abuse and discipline.

None of those options are really right. If your kid is crying tell him to stop in a strict way, and give them empty threats like 'no TV for a week'.

Also hitting, there is no hitting all beat downs, I got it as a child and look at me, I beat anyone (besides females) that gets outta line.

Yeah, you should give them options.

1. If they don't shut the hell up, they're gonna get tooken out to the car
2. If they don't shut up at the car, smack that *** (No cameras or witness. Also, check the area.)
3. If they don't stop crying when you get home, beat that *** once more.

Also, never apologize to your children. It's a sign of weakness. Just tell them that if it happens again, the same thing will go down.

Discipline =/= child abuse.

If they don't get repercussions, they'll think it's fine if they keep doing it, and will continue the selfish attitude of getting whatever they want through their adult life. Neither me nor my brother (26 yrs old, btw) were disciplined. Ever. He still acts like he's two and whines for everything.

I, on the other hand smartened up.
