Wait, so you say it's intentional to leave someone stranded with no way off that cliff if you screw up unless you turn the game off? I can't think of any video game ever made that does that.

Yes.  I think if you can't make it there and back in the time given to you, then you shouldn't be allowed to come back.  But c'mon Saikar.....it's definetly the hardest part in the game......:p

It seems needlessly cruel for an item that gives like three more defense. I'm against making the game unplayable in general for any reason. It's sort of weird that you won't admit this is a bug.

I got up to the Beelba battle before quitting. After three tries I concluded it's just not possible. Before I even get to go he berserks me and I miss every single attack and he kills me. Right.

Otherwise, pretty solid game in general, though there are a few things that reeeaaallly got under my nerves after a while (slow walk speed, time delay between dialog, generally more dialog than actual gameplay). I'll write up a full review when you release your next version.

You can just hold shift to sprint...and I assure you, Linkforce knows about everything you said except for the Beelba part, it appears that your combat skills aren't as great as you'd think they are. I rocked him on my first try because as far as I know, he only berserks you once in a while. That's why salves exist. About the damnable bridge of game destruction, I told him millenias ago to do something about it.

Yes, you also have to bear in mind that this version you are playing is quite old.  Very old at that.  I may have changed the whole bridge thing but I'm not sure.

As for Beelba, he is very much beatable.  Many people who have played my game can defeat him.  Although he is hard to face, you just have to keep trying.

A big thing to survive Alkamars chapter is to stock up on "Cure Salves".  Remember..."Cure Salves save lives".   Thanks a lot for playing it and I garuntee that the new release will be much much more pleasing. (Reference to BlackSkullWarlocks post)

Edit: Not this post...the one he posted before.

I would have loved to stock up on Cure Salves, but I started Alkamar's part with 17 Riols since I stocked up on weapons and armors for Skylar's part and couldn't find much a way to get any more money. Not that they would have done me any good, being too berserked to use items and all.

It's not a bad game in general, and I rather like the characters. I'm thinking of possibly putting them in CoD2 as a cameo fight (with your permission, of course). I'm adding well-known Charas game heros to CoD2 as random fun battles and your guys seem to have the variety as well as name recognition (I recognized Skylar immediately) to be worth immortalizing. Well, we'll see. I'll talk to you more about that later.

Beelba is easy. It's the chick after him that's hard.

Agrees. I beat him on the first try. Even though she was hard, I beat her on my second try.

I do agree with Saikar on one thing. Your battle system NEEDS MORE OPTIONS. All I did was press Enter as fast as I could, stock up on Salves, and that was it. The only other option I can remember is this useless little "Thunder Slash" Skylar got from a level up. You can have the speed attacking, but you have to let the player have an alternative as well. Put in some wierd attacks!

Remember my 9/10 review? I gave it to you because I put an NA/10 on the gameplay section. :p

BTW, out of all the games in the world with no real gameplay, this one is my favorite.

Saikar: Just keep trying and if you can't beat him, then just wait for the new release I guess.

As for adding my character(s) into your game, I wouldn't mind at all.  I'd love for Skylar to appear in other games and become better known around here.  If you'd like to use any other character, just let me know.

aboutaso: Although you do have a point with the battles, you have to keep in mind that these are the early battles and some of them are fought one on one.  So there isn't much else to do.  But just give it some time and I promise things will get interesting.

And what do you mean "no real gameplay"?  :p

Early battles shouldn't last long enough for them to get repeatitive. That turns me off of most professional games, to be honest.

If I had to name some Games, Blindmind's Beloved Rapture and Bluhman's Wolf Gaze.

I mean games with at least little edits or skills, like Dragonium's Radiance or Skie Fortress's Games.

My early battles are relatively fast.  Except for the bosses which are quite tough from what I've heard.

Well, I said to give it some time, because my game DOES have its own skill system.  It just hasn't come into effect yet.

What? Come on, there was that whole... Charging-up thing. And you have to admit, some of the special skills the characters exerted were useful.

But it's the past.... By the way, when are you going to give me a demo of your game to play, aboutman?

Me sorry.  :(

As for the game, it's not done yet. I'm a little swamped with homework right now (term paper due tommorow, Spanish Project due Friday, didn't due too good on a math test so now I need a retake...)

I've been working like a nut on it though. When do you get back from your trip? Remember, dren is still testing it.

So this isn't too off topic Linkforce, how long are you planning your game to be?
