Step Mine! They must have spent hours walking around to get it that high of damage.

I remember Atma Weapon being one of the hardest fights in the game though. Interesting to see it done at low level. Does it say anywhere on there what levels the characters were?

Judging by thier HP, Terra is level 6, Shadow is level 6, and Strago is level 8 because at those levels with no leveling with HP espers, they have exactly that much max HP. Gau must be using something to raise his HP so I can't tell what level he is.

I recorded that, actually. I just kicked Kefka's butt in the final battle.

Gogo + Gau: Io Rage/Flare Star
Strago: Step Mine
Terra: X-Magic Life3 Monkey

Gau was actually level 13. He absorbed the unavoidable Mine Cart and Air Force battle exp.

I used an excellent walkthrough but substituted some strategies there with my own. The author recommended using RaspOsmose against Atma but I didn't do that, obviously.

Gau absorbs these levels and leaps away at the Veldt, thus keeping the party average down.

Celes, Setzer, Terra, Locke, Relm, Sabin, Edgar, Shadow, Umaro = Lvl. 6

Cyan = Lvl. 7 , Strago & Gogo Lvl. 8, Mog Lvl. 11 and Gau Lvl. 15

Absolutely no Vanish/Doom, no glitching. It was fun at times, but incredibly boring other times.

EDIT: I had ~68,000 steps. To get 9999 you need 320,000. I didn't have to go out of my way to get that high a count because the only way to earn money in a LLG is to steal and sell rares, or fight on the Veldt. That, coupled with having to teach every single possible spell to every character, netted me a solid count.

Brings me back to victories that were on a knife edge. He went about everything with the air of someone who knows exactly what he's doing though. Awesome.

I got stuck on Atma weapon for ages. He did make it look easy :(

I sucked at one point. I know because the first time I fought Atma Weapon I was using Air Blade on it. Which means I was at level 30 and STILL having trouble.

ZSNES .avi dumps.

Since you guys seemed to enjoy that, I'll be dumping and uploading the final battle now.

...is that the same things to make Tool-assisted speedruns? 'Cause you should totally make a speedrun about low-level gaming.

You need the most recent version of ZSNES.

http://nsrt.edgeemu.com/lame.zip

 http://oss.netfarm.it/mplayer-win32.php

Get the mencoder-p4-svn-22834.7z if you have a Pentium.

(This is copy and paste stuff from a friend giving me the instructions)

once you have them just unzip them into your Zsnes directory

then all you have to do is go to movie options in Zsnes and play your movie. Then just stop it straight away. It will then give you the dumping tab.

so press play. Then press escape to go back to the movie options screen then press stop

You will see a dumping tab show up when you press stop

you want it on either x264 or xvid for the video
you want it on ZMV length on dumping options
and all three options ticked under audio
and thats it. Press the start button and it will encode

...And be saved into merged.avi

It's an emulator for the SNES.

Well, the final battle is being processed at Youtube. While that's going on, you can watch this, if you like:

VS. FlameEater. We want the least amount of exp. (zero). What to do about those darn Balloons....?

Pretty nice.

Low level gaming is just insane. For instance, have you seen the no materia vs Ruby Weapon(FF7) and the level 1 no junctions Omega Weapon (FF8) fights?
