RPG maker 2003 help

Wen I use RPG 2k3 my tilesets screen and the graphix screen turn black so I can't see anything I don't know whats wrong or how to fix it plz help :firefox:

The problem is that the bit depth of the images you are using, are not 8-bit.  Change the image to a 256 color bmp or png, then the problem should be fixed.

A more simple term.

1. Open the image by right-clicking and selecting edit or however you do it.

2. Select save-as.

3. Save the format (image type) as a 256-colour bitmap.

4. Remember, name it something different from the original image. Otherwise rm2k or rm2k3 will see them as the same image and simply open the none-working image.

5. If you find that images go transparent in the wrong places, don't put them in the folders for your game directly. Select the RAW material button and import it. Then, a certain area will flash. Whatever area is flashing is the area which will go transparent. Click the pink area or background if it is any other resource. The flashing area will be as good as gone when you play the game.

Y ou open the image in paint, not in rm2k/3.  :)
