RPG Maker 2003 Movies?

Well I tryed going into events and setting up the video, but when I play the game the video just says error and the game closes how do you set it up?

Another qustion I have is can you add intro cridets?

I think there are some entries about movies in the help file, but I don't even know why you would want to use one unless you want to show off your flash / 3ds max 'skillz'.

Intro credits consist of an event or so set to 'auto start' or 'parallel process' and lots of pictures, and patience if you want them to actually look good. Also, assigning an 'invisible' charset to the hero is not at all uncouth.

If you are using a movie, then make sure it is no longer than a few seconds.  If there are long movies in RM, then it seems to cause more problems. Well, actually movies will usually cause problems no matter the length.  I have never experienced the specific error message that you did, but it has closed for me when trying to play a movie.  If you have an older or slower computer, that also may be a problem.  It's probably much easier just not showing a movie than trying to figure out problems with them in RM games.
