I've scrapped the drum track I had been working on. It just wasn't working out. The new one I'm working on sounds better, though, so I guess that's good.

Recording is working, but so far I've done nothing worth uploading. Seems I need some practice keeping in time with the drum track.

Been doing some simple Nirvana-style chord stuff. I really think we need to start off simple.

Getting some awesome sounds.

Simple is always good. As long as there's something interesting to listen to, the song's complexity is a pretty unimportant point.

I'm gonna leave it until tomorrow. There's too much to fiddle with, and I need to work on getting things in rhythm, and such. Besides we don't have a lot to go on at the moment.

sounds good for an intro. I may try to line into my computer or do SOMETHING with it, but I'm honestly very busy this week, recording my band and learning like four songs for another. -_-

Those drums were bothering the hell out of me. I'm no better in creativity, but it's the samples that count.

I'm not liking this whole "19-second song" thing.

We need discernible intros and verses and such. Keep it simple. Think 80's rock. Having one arm is optional.

Kinda hard for us to layer instruments over it if we've got 19 seconds to work with.

you know, if song writing is what is slowing you guys down, you could just do covers of video game music. it's usually pretty simple, and thus easily elaborated upon.  Here's a site that has guitar tabs for lots of video game songs, if you like the idea.
