Thanks Angel! I was going to attempt to make some more poses myself for it but meh. Demo should be out this weekend if I'm lucky. My beta tester is being kind of slow XP

Anyway, after playing through most of it, he gave me two compliments: The story is very exceptional, and the music is amazing. I'm not sure if that is a good sign or what, but atleast I know my story and music is good, that is what I was focusing on the hardest XD.

Ok, I have stayed up until 3:00 in the morning bringing this to you guys...so you better enjoy it.

I hereby give to you, drum roll please, Exodus, a Forgotten Legend demo V1.0

My beta testers played it...I played it...heck, a lot of people played it, so there should be no errors that hamper the gameplay massively at all.

The average time it took for my beta testers to complete this game was 2 hours.

It does not contain all the bonds, only a select few.

Overdrive only affects Zack in the current demo.

There are no story branches in this demo!

Well, that is all. Please enjoy it and review it for me once finished.

ANYWAY, Bob, my betatester, has just sent me his review! Here is a copy of it. (One thing, the comment about Tales of Symphonia's battle system is a off; Just wanted you to know, Bob ;] )

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EXODUS: A FORGOTTEN LEGEND- Review- By Jedibob5
Music + Graphics:
The music was excellent. Great music was chosen and used very effectively, and even the RTP music was used well. The graphics are great as well. One high point was the Elemental Cannon and its effects, which were absolutely fantastic.
8.5/10

Story:
Absolutely, incredibly deep! The story is amazing, and must have been thought out for a very, very long time. The storytelling is great, as well. It reveals trickles of information, and leaves you starving for more. The only things that hurt it slightly here is that the story may be a bit too confusing at times, and there are a couple of seemingly irrational actions by the main characters, but those are small nitpicks and few and far between, and completely offset by the incredible story.
9.8/10

Gameplay:
Gameplay was nice, but not incredibly groundbreaking. Combat tries some new ideas, such as the bonds system and overdrive, but doesn't completely break the mold. That isn't necessarily a bad thing, however, as the standard RPG Maker combat system sticks to a tried-and-true formula used by many games, such as Final Fantasy and Tales of Symphonia, and it works well, not to mention this game is mainly focused about the story.
7/10

Other:
The technical aspect of making this game must have been a challenge, and it must have been difficult to construct, event and still have it work.

Overall:
This game is teriffic, and looks like it will become even more so as the story develops. Jaar has put a lot of effort into this, and it looks like it will be great when it's done.
9/10

Well, I am proud of this review, it tickles me to know it was good! And no, don't say that I forced him to rate it like this (Idk why you would say that), for you can ask him yourself and he will tell you I told him to be completely truthful. (His email is Jedibob5@yahoo.com)

If you need to add more information you can use the edit post button; you don't need to double post.

The game looks interesting. I'll download it some time.

I have. I noticed the game has 'Eight Legendary Crystals' cliche. Three ovons. CLICHE!
Anyway, i still want this game to be continued.

If only bit more interesting maps, then it could be interesting.

Actually four Ovons XD. But the Ovons are not objects...they are beings ^_^

...Oh snap. I guess that is a spoiler >.<.

But yah, I am not the best mapper, and I don't pretend to be (Unlike my last two projects in which I did).

But the 4 Ovons (at least I think it is four) is part of the first story branch where you choose between the 15 Crystal shards or the 4 Ovons.

Ok the game looks pretty good (I can't play it now cuz I don't have rm2k3 installed on my computer yet since I reformatted). The only thing I want to warn you about is this crystal concept, or really anything where you have to find x amount of objects to do something. Not only is this cliche, but it makes your game very predictable. Until you find all 15 shards or whatever, you KNOW that you're going to be looking for them, and whenever the player knows what he has to do throughout the game, it becomes less exciting. When I play a game, I don't like to know whats going to happen next or not knowing how the game is going to go.

Otherwise the mapping looks good, the features look great, so all in all, good :) Just make sure that if you're using a concept like find x amount of objects/things, that you DON'T have that as you're focus or it somewhat ruins the game.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

It is the purpose for a little...but not too long. I tried to limit the crystal stuff to a minimum, cause as you said, it does kind of ruin the feel. Lets just say you don't find all 15 shards...

But yah, thanks for the comment! I will try and keep the crystal stuff to the minimum ^_^.
