FFT:WotL? I don't think I know that one. Can you give it to me in an un-abbreviated form?

Damn, ninja'd.

Yes, please.
I'm assuming "Final Fantasy Tactics: Wrath of the Lichking" which confused the **** out of me.

Wars of the Lion. Basically, simply a remake of the first FFT with few things added. No, not FFT:WotLK, silly Dwarf!
Although it does look very similar.

Wars of the Lion.
Oh. I loved that game. In fact, there are only a handful of things that have been introduced to the series that I've enjoyed more. It is officially my favorite Square game ever, and sits in my top ten list somewhere.

Well, not me. It's not that it's a bad game, but compared to FFTA, it's not as good. In my opinion, of course. The only thing I prefer in WotL is there there are no Laws. Oh, and the story seems interesting. Might actually start playing back some times, but... I still got disappointed by it. Guess I expected it to look more like FFTA than it does.

Games... ah... there have been many of those disappointments. I was rather disappointed by the GBA Sonic games, a lot of stuff felt missing.

Well, pretty much anything after 3 to tell the truth. ESPECIALLY Sonic and the Black Knight. Sonic was even a sadistic bastage in that game.

I felt the opposite way. I'd played the original FFT on PlayStation, and loved everything about it. When FFTA was announced, I nearly shat myself. Then it was released. I played it, and liked it a ton, but it felt so shallow by comparison. Perhaps it was the simplified battle system. Perhaps it was the rotation-free, optimized flow of the maps (I loved level stacking, btw). Perhaps it was the lame story. It could have been a ton of things, really. It was good, and some of the changes were for the better, but overall, it was a very mild disappointment. FFTA2 was Somehow a bigger disappointment, but I couldn't explain why. Truth be told, I couldn't play it for very long. Something changed, and I just couldn't care for the game. One day, I'll try it again. I don't know what drove me away, but I'm hoping I can overcome it.

Yeah, I didn't like the story much either. Never really liked false worlds, dream worlds, etc. Link's Awakening is a great exception to this, though. But what I loved was the different races. The more races, the more I like. Well, there might be some exceptions to this, but none come to my mind right now... and the more different races are, the better it is. For example, Oblivion's Nord, Breton and Imperial were all human to me.

So yeah, races. Also preferred how you learned techniques from equipments, and the fact that you didn't need a class to learn how to use items. The camera rotation from FFT:WotL is pretty useful some times, though, and its story seems way better than FFTA's "It's a false world and I want to leave". I sure wish I too can overcome what turned me away from this game, because it does look like it's pretty good.
Oh and it may be related to how good/bad I am, but the missions from FFT:WotL are way more difficult than FFTA... and can you only hire level 1 Squire?

Cerebus, I hear you. DIFFERENT races, not humans with blue skin and that crap. When it is actual variety, I'm all for it. In fact, if I was to make a game like that, I'd give definite racial variety to it. I love variety, lack thereof is too mundane to me.

At first, yes. As time goes on and you learn how to be new classes, more opportunities arise. I don't remember ever hiring people. Oh, and you most certainly can have non-human party members. I remember breeding a whole herd of red Chocobos to Meteor the hell out of the opposition. Great fun. Yeah, if I remember correctly, it was possible to recruit almost any monster in the game. Another disappointment from FFTA.
