So I'm really curious, but what is everyone's opinion on drugs/alcohol? I classify alcohol with drugs because it's a substance that changes human behavior (and state of mind) just like any other drug would, legal or illegal.

I drink alcohol on weekends with my friends. Personally, I think as long as you don't drink to the point where you hurt yourself or other people, it can be a lot of fun. I'm gonna be honest, as some of you may have already guessed, I also smoke pot.

Alcohol. I'm pretty big on real ale and cider.

Also caffeine is fun from time to time, although it just gives me jitters lately so I think I'm going to lay off it for a while.

But then you wake up with a naked, vomit-covered friend in your couch, and there are bite marks on your penis, and not only the whole house smells of every bad smell you can think of, but your mother will be home in a few hours... Well, it's not something I want to do again.

Sometimes I feel curious as how it must be to try some of these things, but in the end I just decide not to. In fact I'm aware that I am a little afraid of the idea.

To be honest, being drunk/high isn't something that interest my the slightest. I want to stay far away from thinks that creates a false happiness, or else I might grow dependant on it...
No but seriously, I've seen enough stupid due to alcohol, it tastes like piss and I don,t have money to waste on that. No. I'll but cans of Java Monster instead, which are actually more expansive, but won't stupidify me.

However, I have nothing against people who drink/do drugs, but don't come annoy me with your drunk/high talk.
Especially drunk... drunk people talking are annoying.

Also, I despise those who feel the need to mention they are drunk/high when they clearly are only looking for attention.
Seriously, you're not cool because you drink or smoke pot, it's nothing special. And no, I'm not aiming at any of you.
I'm aiming at those who, for example, when you play a game, feel the need to mention "lol guys I'm drunk/high".
This really annoys me. I don't care if you are. Shut up. Leave and run into a wall.

Only alcoholic drink I like so far is Pina Colada. And I'd rather have it without alcohol, actually. Less expansive and no piss taste.
And no, I don't want to get used to the taste of piss.

It's the best thing for my bad hip (being serious here) and it's a ton of fun.

Alcohol sucks. Can't stand the taste, although vodka is alright if you drown it with orange juice.

Don't smoke or drink pot, but I loves me some alcohol. Many cognac and vodka. Not a fan of gin or beer.

I actually believe the drinking age in the US should be lowered, just as long as the person is drinking responsibly. Sucks cause I see the opposite everywhere in the military. I had to carry some behemoth back to his dorm room because I worked security that night. I've also put many a friend over a toilet or in the recovery position. :/

Drinks: I would rather have a small amount of something good with people I know than have tons of shitty stuff with people I've never seen before.
I'm quite partial to bourbon, scotch and whiskey.  (Damn 21 drinking age!)

Well I'm glad to hear that no one is into anything dangerous like heroin or DMT. I have a room mate who has had cancer twice already, and has had a fourth of his brain removed because of a tumor, he's 21 now. Because of that (and because he's in a metal band), he is big into pot, but he also wants to experiment with a lot of other types of drugs because he figures he won't live to long anyway. So that kinda scares me :/

Even though I've been 21 for a few years now, I think the drinking age should be lowered as well. When I turned 18 I had to register for the draft. Apparently I was old enough then to be drafted into the army and put on a suicide mission, but not old enough to have a beer?

Don't drink or do drugs, I don't really like to think on something that would inhibit or screw around with the functioning of my brain even if for a moment. Do what you want, but don't zealot it to me, I've had enough crazies preach to me how great it was. One of them died in a car accident, another had to be put on life support several times, so uh... not exactly convincing.

Honestly, caffeine and sugar are as far as I go to a substance that affects my behavior. Otherwise I am high on life and some people say I sound drunk or high at times so I guess I'm... good? O_o Regardless, I'm generally very against it, though drugs more-so than alcohol considering that I accept the latter as a health beneficiary on occasions.

Got drunk occasionally then my brother took me out and drank me 6 feet under the table, I don't remember much about that night except getting into a bunch of fights and puking all over the bus stop and then again when I laid in bed. Good times. My body is kinda rejecting anything that tastes like alcohol since then though.

I still prefer to have my head clear and my body under control, more or less the only thing that stops me from doing slightly bad stuff.

And when it comes to drugs, I don't do them but know enough people who do. Some have the classical tv high, others gets more like nervewrecks and one just assumes a second personality like that. Not interested in it at all. But if you're gonna do drugs, do stuff like pot. The Netherlands realized this some time back when they legalized stuff like this while keeping the stronger more dangerous drugs out of people's way.

Meh, I used to be totally against drinking and then I got wasted with two of my instructors form high school (not teachers, but basically younger adults that work with the high school band).  After that, I'm perfectly fine with getting really drunk.  Haven't done anything really stupid yet so, I think I'll be pretty okay in the future.

Drugs... I've never had any illegal ones, but I think I'd be okay with Pot, but I would have to eat it since smoking would be completely stupid because of my major.

I've had plenty of friends who used drugs, and I have to work hard to convince folks that I'm completely clean. Like, family, friends, family of friends, friends of family, work, school, strangers trying to bum something off of me, etc. I suppose that I look and act like the most blatant user ever.

I drink a little, but usually not enough to get any real effect. I'm not even sure why I drink; I don't really enjoy it that much.

I've been really drunk a few times. Like, drunk to the point where the body really won't accept anything more down the gullet, booze or otherwise. And things were pretty much fine. I told some weird stories, made some totally out of character comments. I was told I'm an adorable drunk. Remember the vast majority of it. Didn't throw up. Didn't have gay gay sex with a friend like Lucas.

It was okay. Expensive, and I felt kinda lousy the day afterward, but fun.

I don't like beer. The hops is bad. But vodka is fine.

I find I'm kinda the opposite of almost everyone here. I drink very little, preferring pot over alcohol. I really can't understand why pot IS illegal, considering that it is not that unhealthy. Most people believe it hurts a lot, but the truth is, it actually helps the body relax. It lowers blood pressure, helps with eating disorders, and, strangely enough, it actually improves lung performance. Many famous brass/woodwind players smoke it, because in the process of smoking, you take a deep breath and hold it, and then release, which actually increases lung strength.
