Community contest: the draft

anyways, first we discuss the rules, then appointment of jobs to members who would like to volunteer. once that member is in, he should be officially in the "Charas RPG Making Crew" or whatever you wanna call it.

i guess part time volunteers wouldn't hurt.. but for each Department, 2/3 of the people in each department should be Full Time resource makers..

IM IN!!! ok as every one knows i am a beta tester so i work with story lines all the time and now that i only get one hour on the net so i get alot of time on my hands so i can do the plot type stuff like

-Story line (the heart of the game)

-Characters
-Races
-wepons (stats and stuff)
-and any thing else thats with stats or text

i could make the stats of monsters and characters,spells,wepons or work with the story line
I have many storys in my head still and i try to make games but when i do a new story comes along then i start a new game but this contest will help me make a story and see it finished of corse i know im not alone on this and others will have to agree but thats fine with me

so i can work in this section seeing how im not good in coding and graphics but i can do story lines and make up stats and characters

and after it becomes some what done i can gather my team up and we can test it out

so tell me if im good to start cooking up some ideas or not

I would like to join this contest too.  I would LOVE to be in the story department.  My natural talent is to lighten up the mood a little bit, with puns and stuff.


I also made a cool battle animation of a machinegun crossbow, and I thought of a REALLY cool miniquest puzzle where you have to go through a maze, then a minefield, and then a dumb block pushing thing.  THen you fight the ghost of this warlord Ratufa Indicus, and when you win, you open his chest, where the ghost of Ratufa Indicus is.  There are Four different ghosts claiming to be true, and there is a way to tell which one it is, if you pay attention.


I come up with creative ways to link character stories togetherand often have ideas for cool concepts, such as a light/dark combination magic form(i call it astra).

MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
  I got the following things to make perfect sense in a game:
1. hijack a tank and drive it into YOUR orphanage.
2. put a crystal ball worth a fortune in a sewer
3. eat pie in the middle of a fight
4. play with a cat while you should be doing your homework
5. jump off of a cliff into a giant mass of tornadoes
6. ask the final boss on a date(not really)
7. spit in your own face

That is how powerful I am when it comes to storywriting!

OK lets put it in this way:

Story Writer(s): Church
Leaders: King
Members in each department: Knights

I don't mean to put it in these ways but i guess it's a good way to give the example i wanna spit out.

Church teaches it's preachings to the King while the King's Knights carry out the duties assigned by the King. We need a supervisor too.. lol..

Firstly, we look for a member who has the perfect storyline for us. then, the person who wrote the storyline would then choose a few more members (including Alex, unless the story writer is Alex) for the Head Department. We have to limit this cuz I think too many people in the Head Department is a bad thing.

Then, members who would like to volunteer for resource making may ask if they could do it, with 2 or more samples of what they do. Chipset makers could hand in just one.

Here's what I suggest.. disagree if you want, but I believe this is the best way for now since we are in shortage of hands:

Head - 5 full time, 2 part time (Story Writer, Admin, the rest are chosen to assist the Story Writer for extra stuff.)
Graphics - at least 7 Full time, X part time (we'll need all the help we can get)
Midi - LOL! Obvious isn't it. Our midi maker, Moiledzep is officially a full time MIDI maker for charas.. lol.. anyways, part time MIDI makers should also be welcomed
Codings Department - 1 Full Time, 1 Part Time (codings are basically simple, only frustrating and confusing)
Beta Testing Department - Assigned by the story writer. Must be fair.. and.. errr.. errr... think RRWP!(sorry for using ur name, but you're the best example for the moment )

Holy Crap! I forgot the Sounds! How on earth do we make it? Mic + Mouth Sound Effects? lol..

Note, we must be serious in arranging members. Having a huge group in the head department (cuz everyone wants to be in storyline) isn't good.

Now, I just wanna say stuff to all story writers that want to participate in here. KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING! you can't just barge in with a storyline without characters or whatever. You must come in prepared with everything!

Then, for a storyline type:

Epic Fantasy: BOOYA!

Heroic Fantasy.. ooo i'm so big and muscular! lol.. Epics are good cuz it has more stuff in it other than a goal like in Heroic Fantasy. The Basic Outline of a Heroic Fantasy is Revenge or a Quest, just focusing on that. totally boring! lol.. RPGs like that sux0rz. they're better off as platformers or ARPGs.

as for now, start writing and read those articles!
