Hey Dark Savant0,

If you didn't know already, the current source does not compile in the lastest version of PureBASIC. Recently i've been trying to fix the source and make it compile but with not much success as i couldn't find the problem as it looked all valid.

Luckly this weekend a friend of mine who lives in london came up to vist his parents who live next to me. I ask him if he could take a look at it and in about 5 minutes we figured it was because of the constants being declared... I guess the little things are always overlooked :p

Anyway, i changed the the constants to global variables and updated a few functions names and i have gotten it to compile.

If you want to include this in an update let me know and i'll email it to you once i'm sure its fully bug free.

I hope GPI does not mind me doing this.

UPDATE:

I guess next time i should try to use the program before posting. It will compile but there is a small (haha, i wish) issue like not being able to click on the images to select a resource. Oh well.. i'll figure it out.

So Purebasic is just another subset of C? Then I could help woth that. GM(Game Maker) uses a subset of C, and I am familiar with Global variables, constants, and whatnot. In fact, I know that the faceset generator on the forums somewhere was made with GM. So yeah, I would be of some help. I will download Purebasic somewhere.

Chronic, it appears battle chars from this website are unimportable. I have tried almost every format I know, including : jpeg, j200, bmp2, and some others. Had to hack Charas.ex, though. But for some reason, these charas are imported too big in the importer. Maybe those which were put in the first place were smaller. On the bright side, those charas work with the Battle Char Generator. So sorry guys, you will have to use the other thing for battle chars, and convert them to bmp. I will have a zip of bmp battle chars up soon.

justin3008 :  Could you download all the charas-little stuff in the online version. I would like to make up for battle chars with the little buggers.

to anyone else : could someone download all the tall-monster and monster items and hair. I think I missed those in my haste.

The update will be up on saturday. It will include tall-monsters,normal updates, monster updates, and some other things. Expect an update for my kids section next week.

Yeah, I used Gm. Ive lost interest although I will buy a reg key if just to thank Mark for the work he put into it.

Anyways, could you do al the items for chara-medium,chara-little,chara-tall, and fighters soldiers? No variants. Please.

Okay guys, here is how I am going. Currently, I have not recieved a new version of Charas.ex so you will have to use the current one. However, I am almost done with tall-monsters, but will do some random checks in the areas of duplicate and recolored resources. I will also see whether I can figure out how to import battle-chars. Maybe I have done something wrong. And for those of you who do not speak English, I will have a translated Help file to Spanish in the next update. This update will be a total update, so that those who cant use the update feature may use these new resources. Expect it up somewhere around midday tomorrow.

DUDE!!! YOU'RE OUR NUMBER ONE PROGRAMMER!!!

Seriously, we need a compiler, in case Charas.EX needs some improvements. Anyway, if you can program, do you want to be one of the programmers?

And I already bought a key. It's worth it. Don't use a keygen though. It won't mess up your PC, but it's worth buying.

To Dark Savant0:
I'll do requested (items for chara-medium,chara-little,chara-tall, and fighters soldiers) when i get time, theres been a big reg key spam at the GM forums today and i'm investigating who done it.

To GaryCXJk:
Alot of the source makes no sense to me, and writing it from scratch will take alot of time because i'm not that fluent with PureBASIC... i'm better with GML (Game Maker). So sorry, i cannot be a programmer for any updates/improvments, but i do have a retail version of PureBASIC and will be happy to compile it if you are using the trial.

EDIT: Items sent.

Well, anyways, could you just send the source then? I'm planning to add some small additions, maybe add a skinning possibility.

New version!

I downloaded the key generators once, just to see how far I could go to look for illegal versions. Last month, I found a site that had a GM 5.3 key gen. It works. I always test these things. Unfortunately, the site closed down. So I did not contact Mark as it would lead to a wild goes chase. He should use a code like the ones on the German U-Boats, with three keys.

New Version!

Edit : DAMN! I have tried to upload these things, but it seems the floppies are corrupt. I have been using the libraries computers so that is why I cant upload them today. I should have bought my laptop. Sorry guys. The earliest possible day I can do it is Monday. Very sorry, but I will put more stuff in until then to make up. Sorry again.

Also, a new version of Charas.EX is on the way. That is, if I'm not lazy to fix some things, like the zoom in thing. That's one reason why I wanted to compile it...
