I've got something better than WYSIWYG.

Notepad.

Notepad if you know HTML or have the time to learn some HTML (it's not all THAT hard... after you get used to it anyway)... otherwise, just stick with what you have... from what I remember, Netscape Composer was better than Frontpage in a few ways, so don't bother with that.

Or you could try finding something better, if it exists... not sure, since I mostly use Notepad and the Angelfire-internal-page-editor-thing now.

I hear Dream weaver's nice, but it's from Macromedia, so it's probably like 400 bucks.

EDIT: thanks Yellowvanblake, I thought it was Adobe.

Yeah notepad is 100% the grand when it comes to HTML, although I started out using  Macromedia DreamWeaver, but pretty much all WYSIWYG editors are complete ***.

here's some resources to help you in your quest for better programing knowledge:

http://www.w3schools.com/html

is a good place for HTML tutorials

AND

http://www.visibone.com/colorlab

is a GREAT hex color chart (for all of your "background color changes")

Dreamweaver is from macromedia, not adobe(heaven forbid) and it is very good for the beginner, although you have to wrestle with it for advanced image layouts and the like. Geocities' editor is the best one I've seen for positioning, since it uses div placement. Use that and steal the html.

if you know HTML (like me) notepad or if you do or dont Dreamweaver is good to use, you can get a trial from             www.macromedia.com also if you do know it and use Dreamweaver it predicts what tags you are going to write and closes them off for you! it makes web page creation sooooo much quicker
