Project Shade
« on: December 07, 2004, 02:14:14 AM »
The is a game I was drawing up plans for, for about 3 days.  There are no screenshots available, due to I haven't even started yet, just drew up the blue prints.  Ok, heres the basic sum up.

The game takes place in time where samurai's were very common, and advanced weaponry and modern government has not been developed yet, and magic and sorcery was a question of choice.

In the "Dark Times", period of the game where much war was going on between the two leading powers, the Demorians and the Reberians (I'll go over detail over the tribes as the developemnt of the game begins).  Outside the battles and wars, on the otherside of the "Guardian Forest", the lived a small, peaceful village.  Just recently, a child appeared seemingly out of nowhere.  The boy seemed to have some super natural powers, even though he was still young (I'll go into more detail in the game)The headmaster of the village took him in as his own.

10 years have passed since then, the war still going with no end anytime soon, and the boy has lived a normal life with the villagers.  The village has lived in perfect peace.....untill their village was discovered....

The Demorians had discovered their village and began tearing it apart for supplies and such.  Everyone was slaughtered, except for the one boy, who managed to escape into the "Guardian Forest".  As he was running away in panic, he came across a seemingly safe spot, where many of the priests of the village came to pray.  When he arrived, the only thing he managed to accomplish, was get struck by an arrow by one of the soilders.  He then collapses, and passes out.  When the soilders come to investigate, they notice a weird aura surrounding him.  They did not kill him right there and then, instead they captured them, and took them to their temporary base.  While passed out, to be blunt, they used their advanced magic to brainwash him, into thinking that their cause was better, and tey should win the war.  (Again, I'll go into further detail on the tribes causes and abilities later).  As of the second they finished, the boys identity was erased, all existance of him disappeared, and he now worked for the demorians.

7 Long years have passed since then, and he has done nothing but train, train, train, in order to become the deadliest soilder/assassin the ever walk the face of the planet.  This is where you come in.  The game, like many others, starts off with a couple pointless missions, so you get in touch with the game, you might say.  Anyways, after these are completed, on of your missions, to assassinate a traitor on the demorians, you eventually come across him.  But you hesiate to kill him, because he has this weird..."vibe", and you feel as if you reconize him, and you want to know what he knows about you, and your past.  And basically, you let him get away, after a long discussion, which later starts your quest.
1st goal, escape from the demorians base.
2nd goal, find this man again, and get some answers about your past, this is the start, where you begin your quest as hints are given to you, in order to...basically..discover who you are.  throughout this quest, you'l gradually recieve fragments of your memory, that can lead up to the characters big question
"Who am I?"

Anymore detail, and I will have given too much detail.  Anyway, character detail.  1 as of right now.

Name:Unknown
Codename:Shade
Age:17
Height:6ft
Origin:...Thats...the whole plot of the game.

I know I was a bit undescriptive in some parts, but that was mainly because I dint wanna give out too much detail, or I dont quite have enough detail myself.  Also, some places may be confusing, but try to piece it together, after all, I dont have really anything to go of of, a lot I made up as I went along..plus I'm SOOOOOOOOOO tired.

Opinions.....START!!:

It got a little messed up, I had to convert it in order for it to work, and this was the result, but If someone could help me get the original to work, I'd really appreciate it.

yes, converting the picture to 256 caused the dark red to become brown, and that wasnt how I wanted it.  youd think 256 bit would be better then 24 bit, but i guess not.  thanks for the compliments though  :)
