There you go people, start asking for stuff and expand this group!

Also, don't forget to give that donation, tronkko, if you haven't already.

Hello? I appreciate if no-one wants to donate, but remember you can make a difference. You really don't have to donate much.

I might just join this team, I have learnt how to edit "icons" on Dream Maker quite well, so I could edit character or battle sets (Change colour of skin, hair, clothes, etc)

You can join but I don't have many customers! If you see someone desperate for a request that no-one wants to do, send 'em here.

request some faces
« Reply #20 on: April 05, 2005, 08:20:59 PM »
I offer 10 euros to Moosetroop11 if you help me find 20 faces for my characters.  I have about 40 characters with battle animations, and 7 of those are essential while the rest are just passer-bys.  You can see if some of those non-essential characters are easier to work with, and I will use whatever character that has a decent face.  In all I want those 7 essential faces plus any 13 passer-bys.

The faces must match the characters and have consistent looks.  This will be easy if you choose faces only from one artist and be prepared to modify images to make them fit the characters.  You can also use charas to draw the faces, although I think it would be easier to just pick suitable faces from freeware images.  I do not accept rips.

Could you please help me with that?

Although I've only been here awhile it would be a shame to see it go. I might be able to send 5 US dollars if that would be okay. Or is there some min. donation?

You are welcome to donate money to charas at http://charas-project.net/support.php?lang=en anyway.  There is no obligation and no minimum donation either.  This thread, however, is a place to post requests that nobody else wants to do.  If you donate money, somebody might be able help with the request that would not be done otherwise.  For me this thread seems fine, as I could not help you guys otherwise.  I do not even use game maker, so I could not hope to return a favor.

Okay. tronkko, show me your characters and I'll see what can be done. ZeroKirby, do you have a request?

Edit: Tronkko, please post the characters here, so people can help me with the faces. If there are any face makers out there, please consider joining, as I'm no good at making facesets. If I'm on my own I'll have to find the faces on the net.

I am a bit sceptical on whether it is possible to find a consistent set of faces this way, but lets try anyway.  I hope Moosetroop11 could organize things and finally pick a face for each sprite.  Anybody can suggest faces but Moosetroop11 makes the final decision.

If you suggest faces, be sure name the artist, as I cannot possibly use an image unless I know where is it from.  No rips.  Also, I am perfectly happy with stock images, and I hope nobody has to draw any new faces for this.  There are so many faces already drawn that suitable images should be available.  If a stock image is otherwise suitable but colors do not match the character, please post your suggestion anyway.  Somebody else may be able to re-color the image.

Here are some places where you can find faces:

http://svatopluk.com/rm2k/material/
http://charas-project.net/resources.php?wa=0〈=en&area=Facesets&howmany=10&fsearch=
http://rtgamer.free.fr/rmk/fonds.php3?rep=FaceSet

Here are the characters I am mostly interested:

I am sorry the generator did not work out, but thanks for your time anyway.  I am canceling the offer, as there does not seem to be anyone interested in it.

One of the problems were that it is almost impossible to tell, from the pictures, what the people's faces are like. I could do it on Facemaker PL if I had it...

Thanks for the offer but that is not needed.  I appreciate your effort on my request, and I have donated a small amount of money to charas in your name.  I hope to see you some other time.
