Favorite Games
« on: January 08, 2005, 05:00:28 AM »
I've decided to set up a quaint little forum on everyone's favorite games of all time. We will start with mine. (Include why, if you want, and if you know publishing date, that too)

My Favorite Game: Legend of Mana
Why: It was unique, and just allowed alot of um, I'll say space to "move". Besides, all my friends liked it and we could sit in front of the Television playing 2p mode for hours.
Publish Date: 1999-2000 :eyes:

Metal Gear Solid 1 + 2: (PSX-PS2) Can't get enough of them, great story, characters and game physics.

Halo 1 + 2: (XBOX) Awesome multiplayer, the best Console FPS to date.

TMNT 4 - Turtles In Time: (SNES) I loved this game when I was a kid, I had it on emulator... before the upgrade.

Super Punch Out!!: (SNES) It's just so much damn fun to play, excellent characters.

Final Fantasy VII: (PSX) My favourite RPG, deep storyline, great characters, 'ground-breaking' in its day.

Warcraft II: (PC) I still remember playing this for the first time on Razor's computer when I was about 4.

Top Spin: (XBOX) Best sports game I've ever played, doubles with three friends is ace... get it, huh, huh...

Pokemon Series: (GameBoys) As shameful as it is to admit, those games were actually quite good.

I'm sure I could think of more, but its a good enough list.  :D

Star Ocean 2 - Playstation - Awesome game.  The battle system is just awesome! I also have Star Ocean: Till End of Time, but I'm not that far in it but it's an awesome game so far.

Final Fantasy Legend 2 - GB - See username. GREAT rpg. Despite the title it is SaGa, not Final Fantasy.

Final Fantasy Legend 3 - GB - See above.

Golden Sun - GBA - Both of them are very fun games. But it's a love or hate game.

Shining Soul II - GBA - A very fun hack-and-slash game. It's very short, but there are 8 different characters to pick, and several ways  to pick how to level them up.  And the maximum level is 200 so you can level up for a while!

River City Ransom EX - GBA - I'm addicted to this game! It's fun playing through it time and time again. And the music is pretty good, especially the last two boss battle themes.

Dragon Warrior - NES - Ya gotta love the classics.

Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga - GBA - Very fun RPG, but it's pretty short and easy.

Hmm...I'm tired and can't really think right now, but my all time favorite game is:
Chrono Trigger: Game play was awesome. Story was awesome. Battles were awesome. Characters were awesome. Places were awesome. EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME!!! So, yeah....my favorite game is Chrono Trigger. Chrono Cross was cool too, but not half as good as CT.

*I still don't understand why they won't come out with CT on the GBA.*

Dragon Warrior VII for PS1

I made a thread about it's awesomeness before. Go look for it, unless it's been deleted...

Favorite NES Game: Clash at Demonhead
Favorite SNES Game: Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinestrals
Favorite PSX Game: Split between FFT, Castlvania: SOTN, Lunar: SSS, Klanoa, and Brave Fencer Musashi. They're all wonderful games.
Favorite N64 Game: Since I've only played a few, it would have to be Super Smash Bros.
Favorite Xbox Game: Split between Jet Set Radio Future, Morrowind, and Kung Fu Chaos.
Favorite Gamecube Game: I've only played two, so it will have to be SSB:M.
Favorite PS2 Game: I've played none *gasp*, but I can safely say FFXI is my type of game.
Favorite Dreamcast Game: Caught between Jet Set Radio, Sonic Adventure, and Sonic Adventure 2.
Favorite PC Game: Starcraft
