Being 12, I guess he assumes that a little bit of pushiness is being mean. Telling piedude and baconman not to post in this topic? Not like you can really do that. Sorry, but this is reality. Not everyone is going to agree or treat you the way you want all the time.

Sorry to say, but this ain't that original.  I felt like I was reading another Final Fantasy 5. Yet another ancient evil. Now since I care too much to let you make a game no one will miss, I will ask you some constructive questions in order to get the most out of this game and make it better hopefully.

First of all, does Mythic Lord have a name?  No one names their son Mythic Lord.  And certainly no one will take anyone named Mythic Lord seriously.  I suggest you give him a name.  If you have trouble doing that, I will help you. If you want him to be nameless, I'll be fine with that too.  But keep in mind that, realistically, Mythic Lord is not a name, it's a rank.  Just some advice to help further your game.

Now, most of your characters are teenagers or around that age.  With such little fighting experience, it makes little sense for them to be able to go toe to toe with an evil that has so much fighting experience that he kills off a whole tribe.  Try to give more explanation to as how people with so little years in their life would be able to beat Mythic Lord and someone that has been fighting for fifty years can't?

Your names could also use some livening up.  Instead of Lan, why not Lance or Lancaius or Lanarkin?  Instead of Yang, why not Shu-yang or Yangin?  If it's not too much of a problem, it'd be nice to see some more neat looking names.

Anyways, I think the spirit armor could be a very great idea if you pulled it off well enough.  If you make that into elementals, you could add extra strategy into your game.

Further elaborate on the character if at all possible.  I mean, you're not simply Lan, a male born on November 12th, 1992.  You're Lan, a male born on November 12th, 1992, an RPG creator, and more.  Add little details like that to your characters, and I'll help you further from there.

If I seem a little harsh, I'm not trying to be.  I simply want to see that your RPG can be one that'll at least earn a decent score.
