Help: New to Sprite Drawing

Hello, I am not sure if this is the right area to post in, but I have a bit of a problem.

I am making a game in RM2k3. I am trying to make my own battle sprites for the game, and well, I suck at making sprites.

It was a fluke I made that so well on my first try. And I can't do anything like it again. The idle stance is as far as I can go.

I need a tutor so to speak. Someone that can teach me the skills to use as templates so I can make any sort of sprite I want.
