Map Corruption?
« on: January 20, 2006, 07:11:04 AM »
At first a few days ago, I was about to bash the cpu in for it saying that my project's Map Tree was corrupted, I had did a few updates and such were important ones, and there they went, down the drain... :x

Glad I made a CD backup of it's almost recent data version. After that, I made a lot more better upgrades now... but still it buggs me however... how, where, and why did that Map Tree corrupt error come from in the beginning? _sweat_

I'm not sure, but if you copy everythig from a corrupt rpg into a new one, then it'll work. Use that as a last resort.

Ah, the Map Tree A Splode bug.

To fix it, first create a new project. Create as many new maps as you had old ones in your previous game (for example, if you had 300 maps in your old game, create 300 new ones in the new game).

Now, go into Windows Explorer, and go into the folder of your project (usually, it's in the same directory as RM2K/3). Copy the following files from your old project into your new one:

RPG_RT.exe
RPG_RT.ldb
RPG_RT.ini
ALL files named MapXXXX (XXXX being any four numbers).lmu
SaveXX.lsd

Do NOT copy RPG_RT.lmt. Don't! That's whhat's causing the bug, so copying it into your new game will screw it up too.
