Need help on Card mini-Game

Hey,
I'm trying to plan a Card game Mini-game called 'The Village' for my Project.

I'm looking for one or two people who are good at programming, who can refer to while in the planning stages of the Card game.


I have the very basics planned.
Heres the Layout:

[Discard Pile] - - - - - [Deck]
- - -[6]
- -[4] [5]
-[1] [2] [3]

-[1] [2] [3]  <- Battle Unit Cards (3)
- -[4] [5]  <-Item Cards (2)
- - -[6]  <-Event Cards (Stackable)
[Discard Pile] - - - - - [Deck]
- - - - -[Your Hand] - - - - -

You draw 6 Random Cards to start with from a Pre-made Deck (to save a lot of work)
from your deck of 30
leaving 24 for the beginning of the game.

The Turn Phases are:

1. Draw a Card
2. Set Unit
3. Apply Unit's effects (If applicable)
4. Set Item
5. Apply Item's effect
6. Set Event
7. Apply event effects
8. Attack phase
9. Switch Turns

What I'm thinking is that Short Range Units can hit only enemy cards they are next to like.
Your Unit in [1] can hit the Opponents [1] and [2] Units
and long range units can hit any of either [1] [2] or [3].

If your [1] placed Unit, has no enemy in the opponents [1] or [2]
then they can either attack the Opponent directly, or destroy the exposed Item card.

Each player has 20 Hp.

You can only set a Villager in the field and upgrade them the next turn provided you have a Barracks in your Event Pile and an upgraded unit like a soldier or archer in your hand.


= - So thats Pretty much what I have so far. If anyone sees any problems already that I'll incur later, please let me know.  I've created the layouts for the 3 different card types, and I have all the Card Graphics for the game, I just need to get ready for the Actual programming. Planning everything I'll need will be the first step.
