If your "project could not be completed", it is probably because you are running Windows Vista. To solve this problem do the following:

1. Right click on RPG Maker.

2. Select Properties.

3. Select Compatibility tab.

4. Tick Run this program in compatibility mode for: and select anything before Vista.

5. Tick Run this program as an administrator.

6. Press Apply and OK.

DONE!

Please sticky this.

Oh, and you have to open RPG Maker, too. And create a new project. Really complicated stuff that I won't get into.

If your savvy with XP then Vista will not be much more difficult to figure out.
