GTA

I was thinking a lot may not know this but the GTA game names came from the first GTA on playstaion. I don't know what happened with GTA3 it should be called GTA liberty City. Buut I wounder what will be the name of the next GTA and what new things it will have. What do you think?

I think it would be called GTA: Grand City...yeah I like that name. What I think they should add is more funtions with multi player and a couple of Missions. Also I would love it if they brought back something from GTA 2, the ability to but guns, bombs, and oil slicks on your car. I loved that so much.

Liberty City is it's unofficial name, like when you call CSI: Crime Scene Investigation CSI: Las Vegas, to fit with the other two.

Since 3 came out after 2, it only made sense. It'd be nice if they had called it Liberty City though.

Holy ****! I just realised

GTA: Liberty City, Vice City, San Andreas
CSI: New York, Miami, Las Vegas

So far they've all been set in the same places! They just came out in a different order. (Well, San Andreas was also set in San Francisco and Los Angeles, but yeah)

I'd call you a moron, but in reality, you're just ignorant: Sin City was the codename for San Andreas. Or the until-we-find-a-better-name name.

And again: San Andreas WAS NUMBER 5.

and just to finish this [Link removed: Questionable material.]

and still some more for everyones enjoyment http://games.channel.aol.com/news.adp?articleID=77086&gameID=7315

Edit and to give some more force to what I said read carefully the words on the secont adress when it says "one week after it registered GTA: San Andreas" that means GTA: San Andreas was already on its way and those three titles names are on the air getting ready to come out in the next game

well the thing is I knew right from the start the next GTA after vice city was San Andreas because the game takes place in San Francisco, L.A. and then some months after they have in patent three more titles those where Grand Theft Auto: Tokyo, Grand Theft Auto: Bogota and Grand Theft Auto: Sin City and every one stared saying GTA: San Andres was GTA: Sin City but Rock star never said anithing about the game bieng named Sin City it was always GTA: San Andreas and I when I frist knew about it was in Agust 2004 so those titles are still in the air wit no word from Rockstar and in Feb 2005 4month after GTA: San Andreas came up those titles have oficial logos but we should see waht hapens in the next generation consoles

that first articl denies right there.

"Rockstar etc proudly announces Grand Theft Auto: Sin City, the follow-up to the global blockbuster title Grand Theft Auto: Vice City."

It's TALKING ABOUT SAN ANDREAS. SIN CITY WAS ITS NAME BEFORE IT GOT CHANGED. SIN CITY WAS ITS TENTATIVE NAME. THANK YOU.

The second source clearly doesn't have its facts straight.

And once more

SIN CITY = SAN ANDREAS

And for gathering those sources to try and prove me wrong, I commemorate you with this emoticon:  http://e.deviantart.com/emoticons/s/sarcasticclap.gif

(GhostClown, you should retract that comment.)
(And guys in that context should not have apostrophes.)

Your magical second article which could have proved me wrong, UPDATED

Grand Theft Auto fans looking to shoot up Las Vegas are likely in for a disappointment. Two weeks before Amazon UK began taking pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto: Sin City--the Las Vegas-set title inspired by a 2003 April Fool's Day post on Shacknews.com--Take-Two quietly registered a different title.

WHAT? An April Fools Joke? Wow, golly, well, if that wasn't enough;
Quote
While Take-Two referred to the next GTA as "Grand Theft Auto 5" in a conference call earlier this year, San Andreas is the more likely title. San Andreas, a hybrid of Los Angeles and San Francisco, is the only city featured in the original Grand Theft Auto yet to make an appearance in the next-generation game (Liberty City was in GTAIII and Vice City showed up in an eponymous game). The San Andreas theory is further backed up by the fact that Take-Two has not registered "GTA: Sin City" or "Grand Theft Auto: Sin City" with the Trademark Office.

How could this be? You mean they didn't register Sin City at all? OMG, Razor, how can you be so right?

Owned!!

yes Razor but did you read the end of the article? I think not it says" Take-Two has not registered "GTA: Sin City" or "Grand Theft Auto: Sin City" with the Trademark Office." but they did patent the name so that means from the starts Take Two and Rockstar had the name of GTA:San Andreas from the start not Sin City that leaves wit those rumors where fan rumors and that means Rockstar still has the names Sin City, Bogota and Tokio are still under patent by Take Two And Rockstar read and tell me if it isn't true?

and just to really end this that I knew about that april fools joke that was the one that start it but it started after Rockstar took those names in patent and fans all all over liked the name Sin City(answer to this frist)

but when they saw they did patent those names everyone stared saying it was going to be Sin City witout any word from Rockstar everyone asked them and they din't say anything am I right? (answer the second question)

and you can put it that in a half rumor half true and half lie because

the rumor was the next GTa was GTA:Sin City but it was a lie it was going to be GTA San Andreas (wright or wrong?)

but what it was true is that they did patent the names of GTA: Sin City, Bogota and Tokio (answer me Right or wrong?)

I just say it like this because those names are in Take Two and Rockstar games patents and like every game site I visited says
Could those be names for games appearing in the long-term future?

well uh.... skipping the name war (i wouldn't know anything about that)

I don't want a Vegas GTA, probably because there's already hoes and i  really really really dont want to gamble.

but then again i'd like to see the guy rob a casino like in Ocean's 11 only with more death.

a tokyo game would be ok, but i couldn't think of a plot they could use but that's not my job anyways

i wish there would be a two player partner type story mode where you could get non-weak  back up.

Where is Bogota? is it part of that golden triangle i think it's called with all of the opium or am i on the wrong continent
