Just thought i would raise something, if the admins and moderators dont like us topic kicking, then why do they leave old topics on the board? :-/

Prolly cause they don't always remember, want to give a chance for the creator to come bac, save 'charas' history or any number of reasons. But that is a good question, I must admitt. Shouldn't there be like a end of the month clean out or something? Just a thought..

All online communities have that rule. It wouldn't work out if they didn't.

A lot of times I just enjoy reading the old topics, and seeing what was going on back then.

 And how would that work?
It deletes automatically after X days? But if the topic was
"In X days there will be a great event" and in the day after that, the thread author would like to post again, and he can't, 'cause his thread was deleted.

If it is an important update by the author (important) then they can kick to reinform everyone again.

but these updates aren't counted if it is some newb/n00b who is like "oh i tink taht teroism is bad" then I shudder, and lose just a little bit more faith in this world.

Why topics shouldn't be kicked: The thread has already been discused by everyone, and everyone said what they wish to say, which is why the topic isn't active anymore. Basically, the thread is done. If you really want to discuss the issue in the topic, make a new topic,

Why the threads shouldn't be deleted: Theres games, graphics, and tutorials buirried behind a few pages. They may still be of use to people, but again, you shouldn't bump them because most people have already seen them, and people would rather see the new topics instead of a page full of old ones.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN
