This RP will not take place on Earth, so virtually anything within reason is acceptable (By this I mean Character abilities, species etc)

History:

Basically, there's a huge planet, with one big continent explored and the rest uncharted. Think of it this way: The continent is the equivalent of Earth, but even when intelligent species had evolved, all early voyages off of the continent failed. No-one knows why, but the inhabitants of the planet soon gave up exploration and settled to evolve to the single continent, which they named 'Creation'.

Many years later, and technology is about as advanced as advanced as Earth's is now, with a few notable exeptions. One of these is that, since the people of creation have never travelled off of their continent, there has not even been any thought towards flying vehicles.

'Creation' is split into the territories of the many species that have evolved there, but, as usual, Humans generally believe that they are superior.

But now a voyage has been planned, with the most advanced ship ever made, to sail into uncharted regions. On it a team made up of the most skilled people on creation will discover the outside world, and why all of the other voyages dissapeared.

If you feel like going on an epic voyage, name your character, species, skills and a brief bio. If this RP even leaves the harbour (Which I doubt) then you can create additional characters, good and bad, that the voyagers come across, but right now just make a member of the voyage as your character. Remember that a lot of different technology has evolved on one continent, so swords are allowed, as well as guns, magic, and whatever you can think of.

 Fallen

Species: Human?
Gender:Male
Age: ???
Weapons: A single pistol as mysterious as the owner, as the six bullet barrel has no bullets in, but still fires. Cutlass, some light magic.
Appearance: He looks around twenty five, but has light grey hair. He wears a brown leather coat that reached his ankles.

Fallen is fairly mysterious. He turned up one day in the capital city of the human settlement, and proclaimed that he would revive the ancient dock to the west and build a great ship. His charisma was such that the leaders allowed him to do so. The ship is nearly finished, and now the crew must be decided...

Bemnonth

Species - Dragon
Weapon - Guns and Bow 'n Arrows (Pistols, Crossbows, Shotguns, you name it!)
Class - Marksmen
Skills - A good hunter, can track down enemies. Is capable of throwing small daggers with decent accuracy. Has no magic, but can put up a fight, even when ammo has run out.
Age - 47
Background - As much as he loves his homeland, Dragonia, he is one of the few Dragons to hate the slavery of Gnomes. He has traveled to the Human Country in search of something new. When he first heard of Fallen and his plan, he was shocked, but soon became too intrigued to put it down. So, Bemnonth decided to find Fallen and meet him.

Note - I didn't want to be human, and you didn't give us any other species, so I'll just make one.

- The Dragon Species -
    Roughly the same height as humans, can vary in strength but is usually stronger. Height averages from 5 to 6 feet when full grown. Some dragons have reached 7 feet, but it is very rare. They live freely with Humans, as they have a truth, but their home country is Dragonia (How original :p ). Their culture has kept an old tradition which the resto f the countries have shunned, slavery. Their slaves? The gnomes. Although the dragons have developed much of the new technology, they still hold on to old prejudices and see Gnomes as inferior.

Yeah, I want you to make your own species, but make sure that they all come from 'Creation'. Dragonia will have to be a country in a less populated part of the continent, okay?

Okay, that works for me. I thought Creation was the continent and the humans had their little country, so I'd give Dragons their own little country, but w/e works.

John Doe a.k.a. "J.D."

Species: Humanoid. Specific species not sure.
Gender: M
Age: 27
Weapons: A Winchester 1886 Take Down and a Smith & Wesson 1911PD. Basic firearms.
Appearance: (Ugh, I hate these things -_-) Black hair, brown eyes. Wears darkblue jeans with black nikes and a black jacket with a black t-shirt under with District writen in white letters. Also wears a white long-sleeve shirt under his black t-shirt. Never changes his clothes cause that would be stupid to do in an RP.

On March 24th 2003, J.D. opened his eyes. In front of him was a ceiling. Next to him, some sort of device. After a short while, he realised he was in a hospital. He knew nothing. He couldn't remember a thing to why he was there, who he was and where he was. After release, his live went downhill. J.D. was drowning in a pool of missery and confusion, one that he couldn't swim out of. In search of his true identity, he travelled the continent, only to find a waste of time. He decided to settle in January 2005. He became a soldier of the army of Turas, rising through the ranks rapidly. Only 7 months later, he became an commando.

Guess I'll join, seems to have some future.

 Galen

 Gender: Male

 Species:  Mutant

 Age:  17

 Looks: Tall, quite skinny, long black hair and a line-shaped scar on his face. His right eye is blue and his left eye is red. White skin.

Weapons and Skills: He has no more weapon than his magic. He has special skills with fire, which he can create and control as he wishes.


 The Mutant Species:

Mutants appeared after several experiments were made to find the real source of magic. These mutant's abilities were enhanced or even created biologically, that is why they have more skills with just one of the magic abilities (For example, Galen is skilled with Fire).

 Biography:

Galen used to be from a human town, which was taken under the power of the government in charge and many nasty experiments were carried away. The experiments went out of control with one mutant, called Fandor who liberated the rest after many powers were given to him. Galen, very young, was liberated and left the facility where the experiments were made. As the rest of the mutants created their own society away from the big cities, Galen left to discover the whereabouts of his parents, who had dissappeared, and whom he had never met (The town was taken when he was 1 month old, besides, every mutant lost his past memories due to the harsh physical effort at the experiments).
But Galen's reason to leave goes beyond this: He feared Fandor, who was tyrannical. Now, Galen walks, hidden under a hood, waiting to leave to the new continent, so that he can start searching for clues, being close to the military.

we could just start with these characters. There's 4 people, that's enough, especially if we "hire" a crew to help sail the ship.

Gherr Fau'xlie (pronounced Foe-slee)
Race: Mutant, Waterdancer (can shapeshift from pure Human to a dolphin-esque form)

Description:
Human: F, looks about age 50. About 5"10, 160 lbs, dark tan, muscular. Has long rust-red hair generally tied back with similar-colroed eyes. Wears a leather vest with metal shoulder pads, and cloth leggings with metal kneecaps and spiked shinguards. No footwear.

Dolphin: Looks like a dolphin, but with shark-like features, such as a larger mouth and bio-sensors to detect other creatures in the water.

Biography:

The result of an experiment to create the perfect shapeshifter. Fau'xlie is in fact a complete success, as she has had no psychological breakdown or warping of either form to match the other.
She was born in labs, experimented on as a child, and released to the public at about the age of 10. She spent most of her life working in the harbors of various cities, and is a respected sailor in most circles.

Personality:

Like most stereotypical sailors, Fau'xlie is rowdy, rude, and always looking for a good time, on land or sea. She is also loyal to the end, often throwing herself in harm's way to save her crewmates.
She loves nothing more than to bore people stupid with tales of her seafaring exploits, although she has been known to nod off at her own stories. She's a nasty drunk.

Skills:

Due to the experiments, she has lost the ability to concentrate energy and cannot use magic. Instead, she has an arsenal of throwing knives, shuriken and other assorted pointy objects, which she can throw with remarkable accuracy. In her aquatic form, she is a force to be reckoned with.
