originally i hade a different name for it but it sounds chessy >.>;   in anycase, in its storyline it is set towards a medevil time piriod, however magic and technology are around as well as mythical creatures (i wrote the story for my wife before we were married but it has a good plot line and such ^_^ )
the main plot is about a Knight that sets out to reach his dream of becomeing one of the few and powerful MageKnights, why well most mages spend their lives as scholars, training their mind but not their body, Knights tend to do the opposite by training their body for combat. a mage knight is a master of both.
  *Characters*
Kiba:The main char of the game, he left his hometown/Kingdom to become the best that he could be, a MageKnight, later in the game it will be revealed that he is acctually a prince. while his goal is to become a MageKnight he doesn't fight for Truth and Justice, he fights for himself and his kingdom, that is until he finds a cute elven girl that takes his heart, he then fights for her.

Lina:the second main char, a cute elven girl that can have a slight temper at times mostly due to her friends. she has quite a bit of magical power however they aren't shown until later in the game, she is in trouble when Kiba first finds her, Kiba's multiply saveings of her helps him to find his way to her heart.

Dragonis: a Dragon master that himself is half dragon and half human. while a good friend to lina he is one of the first to challange and dislike Kiba, however Kiba's personality rubs off on Dragonis and he sees that Kiba isn't such a bad guy.

Susan: Lina's best friend in the game and therefore shows the most concern about her. she is a shapeshifting amazon that can be quite abrasive on the surface and continues to show her disgust for Kiba till the end. worried for Lina's safty she dislikes Kiba when she first sees him, one of his biggest challanges that near takes his life is showing her that he is not as bad a guy as she thinks.

Eve: Susan's best friend next to Lina, she doesn't show anyone besides Susan much emotion at all unless she is hungry considering that she is a seductive demon and drinks blood.

Woolly: another friend of Lina's that is quite an odd little fellow, the games comic relief and joker. he is a Magical Lamb that helps everyone at least once as he does have good magic, he can teleport just about anywheres and likes to take in riddles. also possiable the most hyperactive char in the game.

Rose: a female dragon that is in love with Dragonis and that is also friends of Lina's. Due to Dragonis' power she can take a human form or remain a dragon as she chooses, most of the time she gives Lina advice and will help her out many times throughout the game. she is one of the only friends of Lina's that is more or less indifferent about dislikeing Kiba.

~*Story*~ (there will be a point with some spoilers for those that want more info )
 i've decided to start the story from the point of where he leaves his kingdom and show him a few times while on his travels, before he ends up in a very large forest, tired and thinking he should take a break for a momment he hears a woman's scream a little further up the path ahead of him and races off to help the woman. he will find her surounded by some trolls and of course intervienes to save the day, however before he does that, he undoublty casts the wrong spell which happily yeilds the same response he wanted. learning that she is a bit away from her village he will escort her back to her village protecting her along the way on which they have alot of time to talk. as soon as he enters her village just about everyone of her friends will hate or dislike him. he will then do his best to prove himself to each of her friends by performing a task or solving riddles, even fighting them to prove that he is a good guy.

*~*(Spoiler alert, Spolier alert)*~*
in his last test for one of Lina's friends, he nears death and ends up unconcious for 3 days, in which Lina is Kidnapped, once Kiba has awakened, he imdiatly takes off after her (he didn't nearly die for nothing) when he finds her, he learns that she has been made a prize for a Kingdom's colliseum match and breaks his way into it.
after he has attemped to kill the king that was holding the tournament tanks are brought in to fight him. (and for anyone still reading, you'll have to play the demo when its done to know what happens next )(also on aq side note, i did leave out a few things as i want the game to be interesting when ya do the quests, since each of Lina's friends will give him one.)

if this sounds interesting at all please post and let me know, and the story i'm taking this from i wrote, and when i wrote it i used people from real life to set the example. certain parts can be considered gorey though as he ends up fighting a chimera made of stone and a leviathan which nearly eats him ^_^

I think it sounds pretty cool The only thing I might suggest is changing the name Kiba to something else since Kiba is the name of a popular Yu-gi-oh character (I think). And if you really want to keep the name as it is, it wouldn't be a big deal at all.

How far are you on this? Do you have any screenshots?

well i have a story line and a script but about 2 weeks ago my system crashed and i had to reinstal windows, lost all the maps i had made.
although i managed to save certain things like chip sets and such that i have gotten from the site and from friends i don't have the maps and as for  characters, well i am by no means an artist >.> i was acctually hopeing someone could help me with the music and the people, although i already know what they should look like as i have it all writen down on paper and saved on word in a back up disk.
(by the way i realize about yu gi oh, his name spelled proper is Kiaba i think, but they sound the same *shrugs*)

Interesting idea. Go in-depth with your main characters and don't make him a 'Smite all evil' and this could turn out good.

On a side note, it's Kaiba...not Kiaba nor Kiba.

oy... so much about his name >.> it's kinda why i spelled it the way i did. anyways, black skull to your point, no he isn't a smite all evil guy lol, the original name i had for it was Elven love quest lol chessy yeah i know, at the begining he fights to become stronger and master his power over magic and to become stronger pysically as well, but in the process he finds a girl he really likes and goes through most of what he does go through just so that he can be with her
yeah kinda romantic but for the manly guys that like the fighting well he takes a sword in the back, is bitten by a leviathan, and nearly bleeds to death (i have an idea of how i want to work that in scripting as well but it's not going to be easy for me

been working to get some of the maps up again, however i did lose a few things sadly so i'm going to have to look around for them again unless someone has them >.>;
also how can i post the map when i get it done so you guys can see at least the first area?

(also if anyone has a wav or midi file of a woman screaming that would help lots, needs to be a terror scream please ^_^

alright, i'm about 85-95% done with the first map and i think it looks way better than the first time i did it, without the scream i'll have to move to the next map though. (i'll put up a pic of the first map as soon as i can) anyone willing to help with char's, battle char's, and faces is most welcome ^_^
i'll be posting requests for some of them in the forum for them soon.

no i didn't know that, i would like to think mine sounds alot cooler though ^_^ (he does use a sword, and although he can cast magic he  hasn't mastered it so casting one spell can acctually cast a different spell at times, at least at first ^_^;;; )
