Story submission thread.

This is where those who write stories may post them. I myself am writing a book based on my game (which I will probably never finish.) Feel free to post your stories here, they do not have to relate to Charas.

I must ask of the following things:

- Please, no stories that would be inappropriate for children/teens under 16.

- Do not flame other members in your stories.

- Please, either:
   -Censor any foul word that is sh*t and above (ask for a list of the words I mean.
   -Do not upload any work with the above language on the Charas server. Use an outside host.

- No pornography. (This occured on "Bring me Revolution", which was the reason for it being taken off of Takeforum.)


If any work does not meet these requirements, they will not be able to be voted for in the voting thread.

If I were to write a story, it'll be for people around or above my age and it'll most likely contain foul languance.

Actually this does belong in the creative arts. However, it is a very good idea. You should try talking to Warxe about sticking it in the creative arts forum.

The PM method works perfectly too

But yes, this DOES belong in the creative arts, and the reason why it looks more like for images is because it's what people post most. but is for art in general.

-My story right now is in a wierd format. I'm trying to get the program to save as .txt instead of .hki (Don't say copy and paste, because it doesn't work. I just get corrupted letters that way.)

I myself been writing with illustrations a "story" based on one of my RP charas. I even have a book cover made for from my typography class :O hehe right now it's a lot of pages, so I'll post a link t it later on rather than attaching.

But to be honest X, if you want your thread to be official for stories only, I suggest you re-make this thread in creative arts, and make the people shut up un less they've got a fairy tale to tell. :p

I don't think so. You asked for me to confirm that i know before you moved it. You were just making sure I knew where the thread would go. It's just that Kijuki got here first.

I deleted the old info file because I thought it didn't explain enough, so I added a character explaination list.

Quick question: Would "lvl 2 language" be acceptable if you have a warning in the post, or would I have to type it as s***?
Because s*** <--- would subtract from the story, but only slightly. Just curious.

I suppose it would be okay to use censors. Go right ahead. As long as you don't miss any. I'll add that to the rules.

EDIT #1: I guess it would ruin the mood. How's this:

-You may use any foul language, without censors, just don't use them commonly. (Keep in mind, little kids could be on here and we may not know.)

-If you do add such language, please do not upload it on the Charas server. Link to it on a filehost. If you upload it on charas, charas could be liable. XS

-Foul language is not really needed in books. However, one exception would be a tense fight or tragic moment.

I must admit. A scene like that demands a powerful word. So, I won't be so strict anymore on that rule.

Sorry for the kick + double post, but I've finally gotten around to finishing Chapter 1.

I'm aware that it is short, but It is only a basic skeleton of teh story. After I complete the chapters, i will go back and add much more detail.
