Interesting Login Error
« on: July 10, 2006, 07:25:57 PM »
Um, hi again. Well it seems logging in creates a problem. I can go to the login in page and put in the needed information, but then when it says loading the index page, it will not continue. It will still be loading, but nothing will happen. Now after logging in and hitting back, I can go to the index page, but it shows me logged out. Then if I go to a topic section, I am logged in. Anyone know what I need to do to fix this problem? Thank you.

The Forum main page doesn't display when logged in if you are using Internet Explorer.  Perhaps use Firefox?

So what do I do? I'd prefer to stick with using IE, but...I dont know. Now when I look at it I can see why this smiley is here :luvff:

Questioning. Would using something different from IE, would my connection speed increase maybe?

So what do I do? Do I get FireFox? I had another idea I thought of when I encountered this. Get all the Forum splits in my Favorites Folder, like this one being WELCOME & TESTING, and inside it is Welcome & Testing and Forum Rules. When I go to WELCOME & TESTING, I can choose Welcome & Testing or Forum Rules. That why I simply log in go to Favorites and choose what Topics I'd like to see. Good idea?

That idea above will take too much work.  Just do what I do.  Get Firefox for this site, and if you like I.E., keep it and you can still use it for other stuff.  I actually prefer I.E. over Firefox.  *GASP* EVIL!  Yeah, I said it.  I'm more comfortable with I.E.  And also I think people should stop insulting I.E.  What has I.E. ever done to Firefox?  Firefox is just being a douchebag.

Actually, my idea is simple. All I need to do is log in and from there chose one of the Big Topic Splits and done. But I wonder, why does this site have errors with IE? Was it made different or something?

My opinion: Get Firefox, but only use it for this site if you like your old browser like I do. I love you, Crazy Browser.

All and All, there is a topic for glitches...The issue you're talking about is well known. We don't know what's wrong, it is possible that it's just your modem or maybe the main page just don't like ya :p. I don't like firefox neither, but I use it. If you get fasterfox, it can actually increase the loading and so forth. The main issue I have with firefox is the constant need of updating or finding simple things that will make it easier to use outta the thousands of downloads they have. But with I.E. it's easier for spyware and such to spread to your pc. This is what I've been told from ppl like Moose and Kijuki, so mweh :P If you don't mind the hassle of going through your folders, then cool. But if you do decide to get firefox, becareful because it tends to delete your folders once in a while. I dunno why, it just does ><**
