Final RPG IV

OK. Thanks 4 becoming interseted in helping me. OK, here is the basic plot... A Male Hero named Alex was summoned by the King of (I'm not really sure what to call the land) to save the world. On the way he meets some very interesting friends that help him.
Here is the cast list:

The Good Guys:
Alex the Male Hero
Brian the Male Soldier
Carol the Female Mage
Deiji the Male Priest
Enrike the Male Monk
Erkon the Male Thief
Homes the Male Pirate
Helen the Female Elf

The Bad Guys:
The evil DEMON KING and his army of monsters.

Oh if any1 of U guys is wondering where 2 play or when did Final RPG I, II, & III come out, Final RPG I, II, & were the first games I ever made using the first ever RPG Maker 95 (used 4 Final RPG I and II) and Sim RPG Maker 95 (used 4 Final RPG III.)

Umm, we also reccomend that you make a less cliché plot. And I assume that since you are using thoses classes, that you rather not use the RTP. Instead, you have the entire Charas generators to make better ones for you!

Hey, welcome to Charas. Like Tomi said, this forum is more for introductory posts, and things regarding games your making should go in the Games forum. And just ignore those two up there - they don't know what true game making is about.

I hardly every say this, but I think it has to be said... Your game sucks.

You know how much originality you have in your game? Little to none. You didn't even think of your own heros. I don't even think that the 'demon king' is your creation. Isn't that the name of the monster set of the demon king guy?

 You're plot is vauge, cliche, and rather pointless. Why does the king summon YOU? He has an army of soldiers at dispence, and he summons you. Maybe you can use the excuse that alex is a legendary hero or something, but the plot is still very shallow and boring.

And thats all we know of your game pretty much.

The thing you have to understand about originality, is that 95% of us have used and seen these types of games over and over again. They're old, they've been done before, most of us are sick of them. In order for a game to be good, it has to be unique, it has to have its own  feel. A game won't have a feeling of its own if everything from it was borrowed from somewhere else, especially if it was borrowed from the samples included in the program which everyone has seen time and time again. Without that feel, it wont make an impression on anyone.

If you've been using rpg maker since 95 came out, I'm guessing your not a noob at it. However, I'd also bet that this is your first time brining your games to the internet and really communicating with the rpg maker community. Its not the same as just messing around with the program on your computer, you have to really step it up now to make your game good and stand out.

Sometimes in life you have to be harsh.  

Anyway, the classes are fine. Just using the defult characters 'as is' is a bad thing to do when making a game. Change the names a big, go to the resourse seciton on the main page of this site, or go to the character generator on this site, and customize the characters to your game and to your liking.

As for the story, just try to make it more detailed, in depth, and less shallow. You can still have a demon lord trying to destroy the world and everything, but you'll need a reason for why he wants to do that. Just make the whole plot less straight forward. You need to keep the player on the edge of their seat, try to think of ways you can modify or enhance your story that will achieve this effect.

Ok, here we go. I'm going to rewrite my plot. Long ago, (long ago meaning during the time of Final RPG III) the evil Demon Seraph broke free of the the 8 Heroes' seal. (The seal which was created by originally 8 heroes who defeated the Demon Seraph and sacrifised their lives to create a seal that kept him from ever coming back, this all took place during Final RPG I.) The Hero was supposed to journey to kill Demon Seraph once again. When he did he mysteriously vanished, thus beginning another chain of heroes to save the world, but here is the bad part. There is a chain event. When evil comes about, a hero will B born to save the world from the evil, and when the evil dies, the Hero will live his life happliy and he dies. Then, another Hero(es) will B born which will cause a new villain to come alive. So in Final RPG IV, a new evil appear, the DEMON KING which will B destroyed by the good guys I mentioned in the first post.

I don't really like to make 'unique' characters. I rather use the original. Oh, I'll try to make it less cliche.
