The Obvious
« on: August 04, 2006, 12:34:05 AM »
It's this theory I came up, that every human being, given the oportunity. will:

 Point out the obvious.
Negate(for a lack of a better word) the obvious.
And finally, won't accept the obvious as obvious.

Picture this: Three friends are walking, when a rock falls down in front of them.
The first friend points to the orck and says "A rock fell from the sky"
The second friend look at him and says "Rocks don't fall from the sky!"
And lastly, the thirth friend will call expecialists and will do many experiments to find out how did the rock appeared there, instead of only accepting that the rock is there.

 Questions?

So are you saying that any person will do one of those three things?

Kinda like...
3 people see a bird crawling

1: Look, the bird's crawling
2: Birds cannot crawl
3: I thought birds flew for transportation

How exactly did you come upon this conclusion?

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

I wonder if you can tell something about who gives which step most frequently...

My guess is that the denile one is pessimistic.
The third one would be a logical person...
And the person who states to obvious might be someone who is observant...

No no, I thought you guys had figured it out by now. Sorry for the misunderstanding, and sorry if I hurt Tomi's feewings. I think that I was supposed to say something out of the ordinary, then someone else would chime in with a statement of the obvious that clearly questions what I had to say, followed by someone who wants proof of it. Is that about right, Grandy? Or am I celebrating too soon on having figured it out?
