OOOOg!!!!!! NOT ooog!!!!!!! 4 O's!!!!!!!! anyways. If an earthquake in India could change the tilt then because of the falutl ines and such in California and other places the world would be completely off center.

On topic: While we can't be sure that global warming is happening, We know that all of those gasses and whatnot can't be good.

Not for my asthma it isnt xD

People, go out more and walk! charas will be here =D

I am not poking fun but even the idea sounds blehy >.<

I do have an aunt tho that she says she is freezing at 82F xD
She's lived in a hot place all her life and when she came to visit my house about 4 years ago, she couldnt be inside the house cause she would feel too cold xP and then she went outside most of the time during the beggining of fall. I think it also has to do with mental power *shrugs dumbfoundedly*

It actually has to do with the thickness of your blood, which means how much oxygen it can carry.  It takes about 2 years to adjust to the new climate and for your blood thickness to change.

And whoever said "What do scientists have to gain from telling us Global Warming?"  Quite a bit.

Sadly, they are gaining funds through fear.  Seriously, everyone (of ignorant America and other places) is afraid that the world is going to end if we don't get these new technologies right away to get electric cars or whatnot.

I love how people post theories and facts already stated, I.E., my how the world will end stuff.

Anyway, maybe were slowly getting closer to the sun or something.  Perhaps it's not global warming.  Another possibility.  There has been no attempt (to my knowledge) to see if we are in fact slowly getting closer to the sun.

I have heard theories about it, but it's kinda hard to know. The graviational pull of the sun would have to be increasing in order for the planets to grow closer and we all know that graviatational force never changes in space. So, The best we can say is that the planets are falling out of orbit, very slowly, mind you. People need to stop worrying about the end of the world. It is inevitable. Just live your life and do the best with what God gave you. If you're not a believer in God, do the best you can do. If it's global warming, we're not going to feel super changes in temperature for quite a few years from now. It's just different for most of the people up north because they're not used to this type of weather. It's honestly not that bad.

What I said, except I would like to include all of the methods I listed prior to this post:

Science is fun.

The first event will occure about....oh....couple million years after we die.

Anyway, whether global warming is occuring or not, it doesn't much matter whether anyone cares or not.  Instead of researching and perfectiong alternative fuel sources, scientists are too bust developing viagra 2 and weight loss pills.  Because those things are more important.

Given that the universe is 15 billion years old, and is supposed to die after 35 billion (I think it was) years, I think we're doing pretty good.

Ask the luckiest man in the world and the most unlucky man in the world, I'm sure they'll give you different answers.

Anyway, even our summer wasn't overtly hot most of the time. Soon we may get snow on places other than mountains, which will be a shocking note of greenhouse stuff, and also cool, because I've not experienced real snow before.

My summer was painful. I share the same pain as Tomi (I believe), I had Marching Band camp this week and next, which in hundred degree weather for 6 hours marching is bad...very bad.

Like already mentioned, it is brutal for Michigan.  it is impossible to get used to the temperature here due to the fact it is always changing, and changing so dirastically.  Some near record lows, to near record highs over the course of a few months.  BRRRrrrRRrrOUCHIES! if you will.  I'm so moving away the first chance I get...

DUUUDEEEEEEE......We have SEVEN holes in our ozone layer..But I have to actually check it, since this was said like years ago. God, do you live under a rock?  :jest:

This whole topic was made to discuss Global warming, ice age, everything that relates to weather..Heck, I dun even mind ya'll talking about space  :p

heres proof tho that the world has gotten warmer in the last 100 years than in the last 1000 years (or some giant amount of years). Last 100 years = cars ships airplanes and industries came on heavely.

I agree with that..... <.<

Oooog is God, he makes the world tilt.  :jest:

Hey, ya'll know it's now 'ok' to be in the sun for a good amount of time? Now it's all 'healthy' or so. I didn't get a chance to read the article, poo.. But I've noticed the media constantly reports different things every so often. Like coffee beans, they use to prevent cancer.. now they cause cancer. It's like, wth?

Also, someone explain the time thing to me. As in, how do we know it will be a 1000 years before the earth explodes or whatever?  :p

I think we'll come up with a massive selfdestruct button that will annihilate the whole world in less time xD

Yes, sun rays contain vitamin E i think. So having some sun is good once in a while. Thats why sometimes ppl that dun get out much are missing something in their system besided social skills.

I usually don't worry what will happen in 100 years, since i wont be there. But of course "how about the children of you children's children's children's (and so on...).." Em dunno, I can't come to myself to say or care for things happening 1000 years from now.

NOW, if I were to be hibernated under freeze therapy for 1000 years thats a different thing.

But the way we usually know is by scientists seeing how the earth has change since its beggining, and specially in the last 100 years or so.

Its all speculation. There's no proof at all saying the sun will explode in 30 billion years, its just a guess. Just like there's a guess the world will cease to have an atmosphere sometime in the next billion years.

I am sure however that by then, there'll be 3 humans in each square foot

Hopefully by then we have invaded mars or made our own planet or something. But hey, I wont be alive in 1000 years.. or will I  :o
