My new Game

hey all hows it going im pretty new to this stuff but i was wondering if you liked my idea for my new game. I have started on a game ( its in a Working Title )  It starts out with you as Leif at this time he is about 7 and is out hunting with his dad. This is where you will learn the basics about hunting and the battle system. After the basics Leifs Dad hears a large Growl and tells his son to go back to the house and he will meet his there and goes off to hunt down a monster but as you are going home you find a dagger and think you can handle the monster with your dad and run off to fight with him. But once you find him he is surrounded by the monster Leif becomes full of anger and Transforms in to a Demon called Fiel leifs inner spirit and you defeat the monster. thats the first time you had ever become Fiel because of your transformation you run into the forest and that starts the game with your stuggle with this monster inside of you and the stroy behind it. I havent revield the real plot yet but it has a mojor twist in the end but i was just wondering if you liked the idea thanks alot for reading and hope you like it im attaching the sprites for Leif, Feil, Little Leif, Liefs father, and Blitzer on of the friends you meet so yeah give my and criticisims you like im open to anything

Question: why is the hero's dad so much taller than everyone else? The hero isn't 7 the whole game is he?

no hes not 7 the whole time but his dad is just a tall sprtie the reason they look small is because i had to change there sizes for the line up from there sprite sheets so little Leif is alot smaller than normal leif but i jut looks like there the same ill shw you screens if you want to see the real sizes

I like this. It's not really a cliche storyline. It's intresting with room for character development. You have a set goal, and you did not give away the villain which is a +. Good luck on this.

I'd post more in paragraphs. It's a little hard to read, and it makes me kind of think the in-game dialogue will be hard to read.

Well if you have any actual screens of the game, it'd be a good idea to post them up, but I don't need any screens just to tell the sprites sizes. I really think you should use a differant sprite for his dad though because its not in the same style as the rest of the sprites, if you use a tall sprite in with rtp sized sprites, it'll look bad.

And if that map is just a test map, then I'm not going to bother giving critisism on it becuase its not even a real map :p

thanks but what would you say is wrong just so i can still get some thing out of it and i forgot a character later on you meet a retired Dragoon and i need some help with his Battle Char his nme is Latchit

He actually looks like a father. o.O, that's kind of hard to do for a sprite that size. Good job.

Oh, and for screenshots here's what you do. It was hard for me.

On your keyboard, there should be a button around your big Enter button called "Print Screen."

Play your game at Full Screen, press Print Screen. It'll take the screenshot like a copy/paste picture.

Next you Paste it into an image program. Paint works, but if you want a nice free one, go to

www.ultimatepaint.com

Once your screenshot is good and saved, get an image account at an image website. Imageshack and Photobucket are really nice. They should have tutorials on how to upload your pics, and how to put them in Message Boards like this place.

The test map is nice, but in the real map you should add different shades of grass and make the cliff look a bit less rectangularish. Good job, though. I like the small streams.

well i came up with a name for my gave its now Called
                                          Inner Spirits
                                           The Fable  
it might not make sense now but it is explained in the game so yeah hope you like if you dont let me know

Seems nice, I just think you should make up a better name for the demon form than just Leif backwards.
