Hail!
« on: August 26, 2006, 12:35:07 PM »
At exactly 3:14 AM today, it started hailing in my town. It's strange because the town hardly ever gets hail. This was my first experience through it and I was a little freaked out. All throughout it, it felt like one of the windows would bust apart. Luckily, none of them did.

I tried to go back to sleep, but because my head is right in front of a window, I kept worrying. I never screamed or anything. I was just a little shaken.

Anyone else ever been through a hail storm? Share your stories.

MEh.. It used to hail all the time down where I live, then it stiopped. It's only bad when you start getting golfball to hamburger sized hail.

Lucky you, durring Tornado season, I have to go down to the basement and hide in a compact closet at least once a week, because my mother is super paranoid.

No, I have not been through a tornado, I have seen more then I could count in the distance, but never actually been ran over of consumed by one. And I would like to keep it that way.

Hail though, my car got murdered by it.. As well as other things...

It hasn't hailed in a while here, but it rains almost all the time. It's too cold for a tornado to whip up.

What the hail?

Yeah, comes around here occasionally.  It's cool to go outside afterwards and throw the hail on the ground, etc.

I've only seen hail once. And it lasted for... two minutes, maybe?

Hail? Bah, what about lightning that shakes your house on TOP of hail and torrential downpours. Plus the occasionally tornado warning every other day. So glad I don't live in Kansas anymore for that reason alone. Saw some of the craziest storms of my life there. People in New England freak when we get like a mini thunderstorm, it's funny. But then again, people in Kansas freak when they get an inch of snow. lol

Kansas gets hail once in a while, that and everything else, besides earthquakes and hurricans.

Apex? Do you live in kansas or near the central states?

Cause we have a tornado season also here, normally in spring time. This year was a good year so far, no tornados touched near us and no major hail storms.

Just seriously horrible thunderstorms. lol now that is enough to make you go blind and deaf.

Gah we had 5 sevear thunderstorms in last 2 weeks...So annoying now. Cause the surges it causes can blow up your tv or pc, what not.

:flower:  +  :frag: = bye bye thunder storms.  :corn:
