weird rpgm 2k error

I get the error of the image attached below.
it won't let me edit or do anything with chispets. all I tried to to was upload a chipset.
can anyone please help?

PNG is the format it needs to be.

But is says .pas... that is not a .png....

but.. its png, and now the chipset is gone from the file and that error still comes up.
and it won't let me edit open the data base, or do anything with that project.
OMG I worked hard I better not have to delete it. It'll take along time to get were I am now.

You won't have to delete the project, but you may have to redo the database. First thing you should do is to back up your project. Copy the whole folder, and paste it somewhere like in your documents.


Now, make a new project, copy the rpg_rt.exe file from the folder, and paste it in your project folder, test to see if it works.

If it doesn't work, theres a good chance that your database is corrupted, in which case, you'll probably have to copy the other 3 rpg_rt files from the new project folder you made and paste them into your project folder. This will basically give your game a new database. You'll have to remake all your heros, items, and skills, but you'll keep all your maps, events, and resources. Hopefully, you don't have a lot of common events that you have to remake.

A tip of advice for the future. Stuff like this happens a lot. To be safe, every week or every time you make a big change, back up your project. If you have high speed internet, back it up to a site. If you have dial up, back it up on your hard drive, but its best to make a copy on a cd or jump drive sometimes as well in case your hard drive crashes.
