There was a lot of US money around here at the 1970's with the militar dictature that the USA's government financed economically, not to mention the fact that the US supported those dictatures knowing that people werte being killed. The money left when the dictature left. Simple.

You want more facts? Stop babbling about how the US "helps" the world and see what the US government really does to the world. It's the country that contaminates the most, the country that has caused the fiorst war at the 21st Century, and it's the country that constantly pisses off the Third World, just becuase it has more money.

Kir dear, that's wrong.. The atom bomb is still considered a nuke. :p Also, you lot seem to be forgetting that America is not the only country who has nukes. There is S.U. (who had it during the cold war), I believe China hinted that they have some, and possibly North Korea and some other places. If during the cold war America used a nuke on S.U. they would've hit us back with one of their own, that would've been a serious problem.

Also, about the american dollar.. I had sometime in the future the value of the american dollar is gonna go down and it will eventually be worthless.. Pretty suckie..

I dun think it would be easy to destroy a nuke. Where would you be able to put the remains of it? You can't burn it, because that will just pollute the air (worse then it is now) and you can't just leave it around to sit somewhere.. To top that off, america has a lot of enemies so even if the government wanted to (which I doubt they do) they can't get rid of the nukes. Some place like Iraq (I heard they have nukes, but who knows) can easly take advantage. *shrugs* Just some thoughts..
