My First Day Of College
« on: September 13, 2006, 01:50:15 AM »
Today was my first day of college, and well, it wasn't bad for the first day. I only had 2 classes to begin with, english at 1 pm, and computer at 6pm. I mean screw math, I was more into computers because we got into the basic commands of unix. It was cool learning different things, unfortunately I live at my parent's house but at least it'l save one of my balls financially. The people there were cool except the stuck up-abercrombie n' fitch wearing chicks lol. Well yeah that's college for ya!

I had a friend let me NT onto his Linux box and he taught me basic unix commands. Basically command line stuff and then seeing what KDE was like.

I now use those same commands all the time when I need to do something in DOS.

Unix, although a nice idea, is really only good for special case applcations. You'll probably be using Windows for most of your life. Exceptions include the boring fields of web server admin and.... uh, web server admin.

Hehehe...lucky. I had three hours of chem. lab, one hour of algebra, and one and a half of Chemistry on my first day. And there aren't any chairs in Chem. Lab--you either stand or sit on the floor, and sitting doesn't happen during experiments :s

I respect anyone who goes to college.  :)

Chemistry was kinda easy. Then again, the teacher let us slack off a lot. I have to relearn everything from Chemistry in Physics. XD
