I was wondering is there a way to play rpgmaker games without rpgmaker

As long as all the RTP files that are used in the game are included in the game, you should be able to play it without having RPG Maker.

so u just zip the whole file and everything in it or just the project folder

Will there is a work around but the person who made the game has to do this. Just take all of the rtp and copy it to the project folder, (title in title Music in music etc.) that way, you won't need the rtp file because it is in the game at the get go. I did this to fix a corruption of my files. It works believe me or i woudn't have 25% complete on my sig right now!
