Kirby's Super Adventure (working title)
« on: January 14, 2007, 02:59:27 AM »
Well I'm not sure how many RM games there are about Kirby other than Kirby Warrior's, and certainly none for RM2k3, so I hope I'm being fairly unique. Most sprites will probably be done by myself, but that's not to say I won't need help in the future. Since I'm still in school, this is more of a part-time thing more than anything else, though I will devote as much time as I can to it.

I guess you're tired of my rambling, so here is what I've got so far in the terms of sprites. :corn:

Kirby is traditionally a side-scrolling game with few deviations from the path, and that's what makes it so fun. I don't know if it can translate to an RPG format very easily, but I wish you luck anyways. Just make it a good game, I'd hate to see a crappy fan game for one of my more favorite game series.

Well Kirby Warrior's RPGs did it justice, and I have a good idea how to do the abilities. I've seen a crappy fangame too, and I plan to spent alot of time on it and use actual game sprites. Don't really have a story yet, but through the wonders of my MIDI collection i've planned the place where you meet your 1st partner. Also, where did you get the DS for your sig, I want one...

I found it ages ago while randomly Googling things. I don't know where exactly I found it, but you can leech off of mine for a little if you want. I would suggest saving it and hosting it somewhere in the near future, though.

Anyways I'm not sure whether I should continue with character sprites or go with maps. I'll probably keep going with character sets though because I don't have map sprites.

Just wondering what your plans are. You think you'll go with the Crystal Shards route, and include several people who tag along with you (Dedede, Waddle Dee, Ribbon, that artist kid who nobody can agree on the gender of, etc. ?)

My boards. Some really good RPing here.

Save one more resource as JPEG or GIF and I'll club whomever does it with a baby seal.

I hadn't considered that way, which is odd since I'd just finished watching a Kirby64 speedrun... I suppose what I have right now is that it starts out like Kirby's adventure, Where I guess yo start in your house from which you go to Vegetable town from a short tunnel. Then you go through a 'KA-type'  thing where you end at the fountain of dreams, chasing the Nightmare whos stolen the star rod, i guess...
And If I'm going to go with the crystal shards route, It'll be on the Milky way wishes planets more than anything else
:corn: Ooh... wooks intewesting...
*posspam* Bah, just spam.
Me again->  :jest: You stupid thing, I'll show you!

Anyways I need some way to stake screenshots, I have no Idea...

Good luck with the thing. I haven't got much advice to give about fangames.

press 'print screen' immediately as you wanna take the screenshot, then paste it into MS paint or whatever you have, save it, and upload it to the internet.
