you don't mean that towered **** everyone is trying to pass off as the perfect map, right?   Some **** it just flat.  Anyways don't fill the space up; take it away if it has no use.

what i want to know is if the world will be back to normal, per se, or is the grass gonna be green, but the landscape the same? Or was it that the map of FF6 wasn't the entire world in your game.

I loved 6, and i'll definitely try it out if it goes anywhere.

Hows this?? The normal world map is the ruin world in 6 but normal like grass is green and stuff. The esper World is all new mahaha I get to play god (2 world maps). I want to know what you guys think of cids ability im gonna set up. Basically its called magitech and when you pick it he goes in that magitech armor and you can buy its abilty upgrades (attacks) heal beam, Ice beam, tech missle. Sound good? It would be awesome to set up an animation so it drops down and he hops in.

I like how it is right now. Don't listen to the others who are poisoned by bad map taste - they think cramming as much detail as possible will make a map instantly better.  ;)

That's what made Final Fantasy 6. The maps were crowded yet easy to walk around. And the layers were used almost perfectly. His maps have too much open space; it doesn't have the Final Fantasy 6 feel, yet.

Lol Well what you see above is the final one. It looks great to me and if you look back not all the maps were cramed Thamasa, and Maranda are some examples. I love the town I think it looks great after the modifications.

I really dislike people like you. Why do you post things for C&C if you're not going to listen to us and make changes?

As said before, the map is fine, but if you're trying to look like Final Fantasy 6, you need to close the space.

Yes, Thamasa and Maranda aren't as crowded as, say, South Figaro but it still has the Final Fantasy 6 feel. Why? Because of the small details the designers added.

Your map has a lot of grass, that's why it looks empty. The designers of Final Fantasy 6 changed the grass spots into gardens or gave the grass a natural feel thru the use of flowers, trees and other details. Never neglect details especially since you're doing it the Final Fantasy 6 way.

Friendly piece of advice.

that map looks very final fantasyesque, but they're right, way too much open space.  I'm trying to cut down on big spaces to I can sympathize xD

you're making me extremely nervous with this ffvi-2 idea. fan games are good and all...but when they are executed the right way. jumping into a storyline where you have "evil guy" who sucks the main characters into a rift sounds devastatingly frightening, especially when you get the ffvi fanboys like myself freaking out about how smooth the original story was, ya know? just take some time and let your thoughts gather and inspire you before you just forage ahead without a clear basis of the beginning/middle/end.
