You either have to search for MIDI versions of the songs you want, or make them yourself. MIDI and MP3 are two completely different formats, and conversion between them is nigh-impossible.

That doesn't work. Only MIDIs show up in the midi import selection screen, and importing them incorrectly using the folders is an easy way to make your game start bugging.

There are ways, I believe. However, it's easier to get the MP3 patch and import them as MP3s, unless you're worried about file space.

Sorry if it seems as if I'm kicking, but I may have a solution.

If I remember rightly, I had a problem with this when I was making a couple of projects a while back. Try going onto Google and typing in "MP3 to MIDI", there are loads of lists for trial software that you can download in order to make the switch between the two. I can't remember for the life of me which one I used ages ago, but I'll be searching through them soon and I'll reply again when I've found which one worked for me (obviously there's some software that could be carrying something with it, if you know what I mean).

But yeah, aside from that, as everyone else said, you're better off trying to just get a .MIDI for the music in the first place, it's a lot quicker and not that difficult to find. Again, Google is your savior for finding these kinds of things. Some cellphones use MIDIs for ringtones, so if you can connect your phone to the PC and transfer them across, you can use the MIDIs from there, if you want any of them. If not, there are numerous online sites that you can download them from.

Gah, I rely too much on downloading...
