If you would like to be a boss or a secret boss and play a large roll in my game, here's how.

DON'T BE GREEDY!! Do not make yourself seem overpowered or want to be fought near the last part of the game to make your character seem powerful.

Why your character is a secret boss: Perhaps opposing views to the main characters.  Not like evil, just not on the same side?
What is gained from this boss fight: Perhaps some super magic spell-type reward?
At what point do you want to be fought: Middle / End

Physical traits: Brown-haired, orange and green clothes, visible armor to a certain degree, and a slight larger-than-average mouth
Weapon Based, Magic Based, Both: weapon-based, knows one (1) spell.
Magic Element Affiliation: (Not applicable is weapon based) The only spell "I" know is a low-level water spell.
Why you want to be fought: Mr. Big Bad pays good for terminating trouble-makers.
When in the game you want to be fought: Early.

Why your character is a secret boss: Mooses are too damn cool to be regular bosses, come on
What is gained from this boss fight: Moose antler, a legendary weapon used like a sword
At what point do you want to be fought: Near the end when the party's really strong.

Sorry, Moosetroop, but that's not a very good reason to be a secret boss.

[game_maniac]

Name: Demoriel (game_maniac wouldn't fit so well in the game's setting)

Weapon: Stones and pointy sticks, rude words, huge-FF7-like sword (he only pulls it out when he's at 50% HP or something)

Physical traits: He looks like a normal human, but more tall and slender. Long, black hair, funny expression on his face. Doesn't use any armor, just brown and dirty adventurer clothes. He doesn't really look like nothing special until he pulls out his sword.

Weapon Based, Magic Based: Weapon based

Magic Element Affiliation: Not applicable, he knows no spells

Why your character is a secret boss: He's nothing special, he's just a nobody who happened to find a very powerful sword and now thinks he's the best. Your party hears about this really cool place/weapon, and when they arrive they find someone else has already taken it. Maybe they can meet Demoriel somewhere along the adventure before this episode.

What is gained from this boss fight: I'd say either a rare weapon (his weapon for example) or access to a hidden dungeon.

At what point do you want to be fought: Somewhere in the middle of the game. He shouldn't really be relevant to the story anyway.

Side-note: While his HP is 51% or more, he just uses weak attacks and says things like "Shoo, you! Shoo!" or "I'm King of the World, baby!". When he gets to 50% he says something like "Now you're making me mad!" and pulls out his sword, and suddenly he becomes a lot harder.

Secret Boss

Name: Archem

Weapon: Trident, special grenades (stun, flash bang, HE, etc.)

Physical traits: See attached images

Fighting Style: Weapon based attacks, some trident-based magic.

Element: Dark, Electric
Why I'm a boss: I've unintentionally worked my way into a bad situation by stealing something important on accident. Sort of an unintentional foe. I'm a respected member of the forums, and let's face it, if I was a boss, I'd be secret as hell. Try a mention by someone in some town that says someone's stolen something valuable, and leave no word of it anywhere else.

What is gained: My trident (a powerful, electricity or dark or both based melee weapon), and the something I've been accused of stealing, making the hunt for me important.

Where I'm found: Near the middle.

I'm also up for regular boss, if you don't want me to be a secret one. Be sure to give me a quirky, humorous personality that almost makes me seem friendly rather than malicious.
