Not entirely. She does overload. And Zero laser is like an overpowered charged shot :P

And FS was my first opinion, but I was looking for a way to appease to some idiots while not really leaving the idea. (on gamefaqs)

Anyway, I laughed and posted at many people who believe she would not transformed after the FS.

I've heard several theories about the purply cloud guy. The one that makes sense to me is that it's a "punishment" - the other screenshots show Mario and Kirby breaking the rules (they're cooperating rather than brawling), so whatever antagonistic force is around (either Master/Crazy Hand, or the force behind them) is sending it to whip them into shape.

Actually, I've read that in between those two pictures, Mario and Kirby brawl; Mario wins, and Kirby is reduced to a trophy. Then Mario decides "screw this" and somehow revives Kirby, which prompts the handshake.

Of course, it could just be an error.
