Harvey, those words were very harsh ya know. I know you've gone a little "I hate life" on us and all, but come on. Moose is right about the kijuki ban, we argued/debated or whatever about it and left it as that because he wasn't bothering anyone. But YOU were suppose to ban his other accounts, and we (me, you and possibly moose) spoke about this. And you said you did it. No offense Kiju, happy you're back. So please don't try to push that on razor and moose. You didn't do your job.

And charas started "dying" out around the time alex was barely here which was a little before he made you admin. Can't really complain much.. everyone talks about "community spirit" and so on.. but no matter how much you or anyone tries to force everyone together it wont change the fact that people get... BORED. Rev is right, that's the problem. Boredom. Talking to the same people all the time, about the same things. It gets old. And hopefully with the updated charas, it will attract more people.

Different kinds of people. We all have something in common. We're attracted to shiny things.. *ooog XD* And hopefully a few of the older members will stop bitchin to the newbies and give them a chance to grow up. So that way the site will stop "dying" And to hear everyone bitch and complain... it gets fuckin old after a while. Real old. It's the same thing every time. Someone decides to leave, cause the site and members are "lame" or whatever. Then everyone gets offended and says harsh things to one another and it gets bigger and bigger.

And what's fucked up about it is that if the mods get in the middle, we're bad either way. Lock it, and we're power-hungry whores who need to be replaced. Leave it open, and we're stupidass-slackers who need to be replaced. Either way it's always the staff who gets blamed first. That needs to stop. There are too many people being too demanding on how we should act. As for the replacements. Whose really good enough to deal with the pressure..? You know how many times over the years I've been here, even before I got modded, that I've sat and listened to that same old converstation?

Almost every other night. Going through list of names and personalities and so on. There have been some bad choices, there are always going to be some bad choices. But lemmie use someone else's words... we're at the bottom of the barrel right now. There really is no one to use as replacements basically. And the mods we have now from what I've seen haven't overdone their jobs. But there really isn't that much activity to overdo their jobs.

But I must admit, I loved the drama as much as harvey did. It kept me interested for a little while. Maybe ya'll should just grow up a little and try and be helpful by offering suggestions that are HELPFUL not saying "WE GOTTA DO SOMETHING CHARAS IS DYING!!!!" and other kinds of bitchin.

And harvey, stop with the comments. If you really hate this place that much, there is a logout button. Use it. As much as I get pissed with the way people act, with the way I, myself act I'm at least trying to see how things end. And I am trying to help. You left. You decided to resign. There really isn't much holding you here except the need to be a sarcastic brat. Yes, as much as I love ya *** you need to stop. Grow up. Stop taking all the life and charas things to heart and just let it go. All this **** is getting old. If you ain't gonna talk to your friends about it then stop bringing it to the forums. Use your damn journal.

Oh sorry for saying all that moose, couldn't help it..  :| *sigh*

Charas is an RPG Maker forum. Always has been. We can't just say "hell, let's not be an RPG Maker forum any more!". Otherwise we're the same as every other dysfunctional game-related social forum on the internet. And they don't work.

Sadly, the case is that we need more RPG Maker stuff, and people don't really use RPG Maker any more. Not for RPG Making anyway. I dabble in it from time to time, but usually to make other types of games that aren't RPGs.

EDIT: There's an idea. How about more support for non-RPG games in RPG Maker? Tutorials, resources, etc. wouldn't go amiss.

We could focus more on games in general, including RPGs. We'd attract a much larger crowd.

How about we stop being a forum ONLY for RPG Maker and becoma a forum in general which just happens to support RPG Maker?

We could support Game Maker and any other sort of "Maker" that comes out. Wasn't there one some random dude posted that was going to be freeware and was a Platform Game Maker?

OH Y HALO THAR IMPORTANT PEOPLE WHO AGREE WITH ME.

DONT LOCK THREAD PLEASE.

Okay well, FIRST OFF.  TOO ANYONE WHO SAYS "R U LEAVIN OR WUT?" AFTER I POST THIS, shutup.  This is way too big to just leave.  Yes I am leaving, but I shall do so when this thread dies.

Jesus Christ people, I go to sleep and I wake up with the pages tripled.  Party at the gym was great, thanks for asking.  For once I laughed at Kijuki.  I don't hate him, I just think he should learn to LAUGH AT HIMSELF and not always throw his guard up when his name is mentioned.

But I don't like him, that I don't.  :flower:

That Carrionmarksman + MrMr response made me laugh.  Seriously who the hell is that guy.

By the way, to Drenrin, you hush, because obviously I'm not the only person who thinks all of this.  The majority here are bland and all fall into 3 categories which I stated previously.  Making a big deal about?  It's my thread, lol.  I posted the reasons I'm leaving.  If you guys wanted to make it a big deal, you were free to do so, and you did.  Now look at it.

I think the mod team is fine.  They do their part just fine.  Maybe with a stick up their *** at times, but for the most part they do a good job.  One thing I don't like is how this is blamed on them.  They have nothing to do with it.  It's the COMMUNITY ITSELF.

While some people want to push it on the mods, I say its the community.  Its the website itself.  You can really do some cool things with 3.0 and if you don't then you'll have the same problems.  No one is really interested in RPG making like they were when the site began.

By the way, I'm totally not Mrmr.

Isn't that what I said and I got yelled at for.  So what now you agree that we need a better community?

You guys confuse me.

I think that program was called Sketchit or Sketchup or something.

We could try to add resource section of this site that doesn't exactly pertain to RPG Maker. I remember seeing a few sites with both general sprite sheets as well as RM stuff, like Spriteaholic and RPG Icon.

That is a good idea. What kind of games can be made though? RPG Maker is mostly for RPGs and ABSs.

Maybe we could ask around other communities to help make "Templates" for stuff like Fighting Games and Platformers. I remember playing a nice Mario styled platformer by a guy named Ineluki from the German Community. Like, Dragonblaze's customizable CBS...maybe we can make a resource section for something like that.

I'm borrowing this thread. Feel free to ditch.

You obviously missed my point pretty bad rev. I never yelled at you because I thought devoting the forum to things other than RPGMaker was a bad idea.

No, we yelled at you because you complained and presented no solution at all.

There's a diference beetwen "THIS PLACE SUCKS" and "I have an idea of how to make this place better."

But really, this place could indeed use a buffer.

Ok I don't know how a simple leaving thread could turn into six pages (and probably more over time) of some spam, a few walls of text and a lot of arguing. I would think that it is his decision and a "farewell" or "goodbye" would suffice rather than debating it.

Anyone who makes sense and doesn't misspell "disease" could maybe rectify an answer?

If member are leaving, means we have a problem, as such, we have to solve that problem.

Members leave but they also tend to come back. In any case words alone, no matter how many you put in, are not enough to solve a problem. And certainly must not boil down to using a single or a few members as a scapegoat.

But as I have said members do leave but they have the tendency to pop back up. I've seen it numerous times already, this one is no different.

Edit: Why do I get this faint hint of Chicken Little?
