The Cure For Writers Block!
« on: October 18, 2007, 02:59:16 AM »
(Vladimir Shadeu is NOT dead, has NOT forgotton you guys, and is NOT going to leave anytime soon :P)

So, i was thinking about ideas.
and the only reason i make games with any game maker is becaus i have ideas. some people ain't so good with ideas.and some people can't develop any of there ideas well, or just occasionally get stuck. so i'm gonna do two things to help those people.

First of all, give you guys the "Cure For Writers Block". you'll have to learn to navigate it yourself, but it can generate enough random ideas to plaster in the gaps.also note that on the top right of the page there is links to similar sites.

http://www.seventhsanctum.com/

and second of all, i am taking idea requests if you want an idea for a concept or need names or filler details.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

I, also, stumbled upon this site awhile back. I haven't seen it in a grip though.

For a small period of time I considered building a game where there would be a limited number of spells/skills/itemnames etc., all created using a generator such as this. Kind of like a challenge I guess.

It really seems fairly easy when you first think about it but; at this point, I know that if I try to start a project I'll probably bail halfway through. So I don't even bother starting.

Plus, there's more creative and original (and not to mention, detestable) ways to cure writers block.

I've known about that site for a while now. It's a very good site.

I'm not sure if it's a cure for writers block though. More like...now I don't have to name so many damn towns by myself.

The cure for writer's block = DnD. lol. Really, the Dungeon Master's guide is a good tool even for making RM games.

On topic: Never heard of the site, probably won't visit it again, but it's alright, I s'pose.
