Some will make more lucrative offers if you are an academic achiever, others may give offers based on sports involvement or whatever.

You can mostly ignore the mail you get except to mark down a few names. Do your research - sure, DeVry sends out a lot of mail and touts how amazing their game development program is. But it's a load of crap - 1. It's a game development program (99% of all game development college programs are aimed at getting gullible kids who like videogames to pay money for substandard teaching), and 2. DeVry SUCKS ***. I have testimonials and evidence to support this.

Also, so far my college has focused on both education and career development, especially networking. I just got the impression from Aboutso's post that he was saying our colleges focus on making students do work more than teaching them well, which isn't the case in my experience. :P

full agreement. At first I didn't throw all the mail out, and filled about 5 shoe boxes before i was just like... **** it. I'm at the point where schools are literally throwing money at me, so it really narrows the selection process down.

Oh yeah. DeVry, etc... not worth their weight in gold plated ****

Don't even consider it, GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE!!!

As for me, I am going to The University of Kansas next year (Gag, Kansas that is, not the university.) for as of now pre-law, then if I pass the LSAT, Law at the same place.

That could easily change though, but I do plan to stick with it for as long as possible.
