MY FIRST GAME!!!

I made a pokemon killer game and you kill pokemon instead if catching them.
THats why its called pokemon huntr. It uses a attle systme just like rpg maker xp except theres no images. Anyways heres the rapidshare link

I'll download it later when I'm at school since I'm on a dial up connection now. Anyway, what really helps is if you give more of a description of you're game. A lot of people simply won't spend the time downloading a game they know nothing about :/ So yeah, can you give a bit more information? Like, is there a story to it? Who are the main characters? What are some of the features or unique things to your game? And try to post a few screenshots.

You do have a small description, but larger ones are a lot better, and some screenshots of the game always help.

Like I said before, I'll download the game tomarrow and try it out. I'll see if I can give you some pointers, I won't be too rough on the critisizm though :-p

Well I guess I should put more description. Pretty much the Pokemon has gone bad and the Main character is Eli (ee-lie) And you have to go around killing the Pokemon and the only way to learn skillz is to find little pokemon sprites and it says you found for example a fire skill it might say you found Book of Char vol1
there are lots of spells and Eli along with 3 other cahracters can only learn their own elements of Skillz like Eli knows Earth and Fire. Phat T. one of the other characters knows Normal attacks You can learn what other elements the other 2 cahractes use if you download it.

Some functions I used is the Color Coding thing where it turns the Name to red or blue.An example of this would be in your message box like this. Say you want it to be red the name i mean and the restof the text to be white. It would loo lik e this

It would say the name in red but the rest in white. And in my earlier post i had quite a few spelling errors plz excuse me my keyboard can be messedup. So plz try the game and its a pretty long game.

Anothe Function is that It has a battle system much like the one in RPG Maker XP.
So you willnot see any of the characters. Plz enjoy my game and sorry for not giving a full description earlier its just that I didnt know what to really put cuz its my first game post and I worked really hard on it. So another messaging codeike thecolor one its not incuded in my game but its a show money code.

it will show all the money you have without going into your menu. one more thing what i mean about my first game is that its my FIRST REAL game. All the others I have are either incomplete or just test games to kinda test things out in the rm2k3.

Hey I got Snagit 8 so now its time for some screenshots. I hope this works I am not really sure how to put them on here but if necessary I'll put em in a winrarZIP archive and put it in rapidshare.
Ithink I just put the Title Screen on I am not sure so.

You don't need to buy any programs to take screenshots. Somewhere on the top right of you're keyboard is a key that says [prt sc] or sometimes [print screen]. Anyway, this is you're print screen button. Press it during gameplay when you want to take a screenshot of your game. Then minimize, or close out your game, open paint by going to start - all programs - accessories - and then click on paint. You can use any image editor actually, but paint comes on every windows computer, so you might as well use that. Once you have paint opened (or another image editing program), go to edit, and click on paste. Once you do this, you should have your picture of the game in paint. Save the picture. You then have a screenshot . Upload the screenshot to photobucket (photobucket.com , you can get a free account). Then post a link to the image in a post.

That may have been confusing... but heres the steps.
1. Play the game
2. At a point where you want a screenshot, press the [prt sc] button
3. Minimize/close the game and open up paint.
4. Go to edit - paste (or press the crt and v button at the same time) to paste the screenshot in paint.
5. Save image (preferably as a .png)
6. Upload image to photobucket and post links. Alternativly you could upload the images dirrectly to charas when making a new post though you can only upload one image per post.

Oh and my oppinion is that   Charas Rocks But anyways all I did for the battle is tak away the battlecharas that way it would just show the enemy.

Hey drgon blaze I hope you like my game and I did as you said i lengthened the dscription and I was wondering if you like rmxp? I know its a trial but i know how to get it for free no spam or viruses. All you need is winrar and mxp (RPG MAKER XP) If you do just post a comment here or send an e-mail at bahumatfantasy@gail.com
Thanks for the advice on the photobcuket but i already bought snagit it wasnt that expensive. I can also make videos of my game and I'll probably make a trailer of it. Some battlescenes and the mapping.

I know I should post this in a different thread but anyone who reads this can get a free copy of rmxp or rpg maker xp. All you need is winrar.go to this site and download the drivers. Save it to your desktop then extract the drvers to your desktop. Then go to sart, your computer, program files, enterbrain, RMXP.
NOTE these are the following folders you have to g through. Once in the RMXP folder drag the drivers you shoul have on the desktop. Copy and repace the drivers into there and wa-la you have a free rpg maker xp. Here is the download link.

Also, it's generally not a good idea to post your first game anywhere. Keep it to yourself. Then get to work on something bigger which people want to see.

Anyway, I find nothing wrong in posting your first game, as long as you don't have the assumption that a lot of people will think its good at all. Its a good way to get critisism and stuff so you know what to do next time and all.
