I've made more choices of games, since I've become more creative reading almost all tutorials and lots of threads the past few nights...

You fight other people who have summoning cards, cards that have the souls of monsters, and you must stop the people who want to use it for evil! (Classic save the world, new battle style!)

Unforseen Expedition: Teradrund's Tale (technically .5)
What happened back then? Why is Teradrund, a hero of Ingitch, evil in the original game? Why is Hirochi-Zangus a demon? Where did Frage come from? This game has all the answers! (FF VII: Crisis Core - FF VII; this kind of gaming, original first, prequal after)

Everlasting Xytz (pronounced Zites)
A story of peril, time travel, paradox's, Dinosaurs, Aliens, and sheep? Chase down a foe through time itself while unsolving the case of the cloaked villain!

2 Tales, 1 Destiny
Either be a boy or a girl (story is different for each) and basically fight a MONSTER that lived underground of your city. The evil is only holding a grudge against YOU, and only YOU can find out what it is and stop the beast from doing any harm!

I like the last two. I'd say... Do a nice small scale game using the 2 Tales, 1 Destiny plot, but add in a card game (FF8/9 style) which you can play with civilians. That'd make a really cool game... And the simple, short plot and limited mapping would really allow you to go nuts with the graphics.
